Best one-r film of the comp so far, I would love to know how many takes you did and how you blocked everything.

This is one of the best hacker films of the comp so far, a huge improvement over your film last year, a tight script that shows off what the ensemble cast can do. Also I haven't seen another film this year with a political message. You should apply for film commission funding for a bigger project.

This film feels like a Maggi soup commercial which makes the already-psycho ending even more deliciously messed up. Loved it!

The rabbit hacker was the best moment of the film, I think that's because it's a moment when puppet personality shines. I feel like you could have done a bit more of that-- the film starts with everyone sitting around a table, and the plot immediately starts. I wish that this film had taken a moment to establish the personalities of the puppets before the story kicks off.

I really appreciated the shitting trojan unicorn, I love this kind of 48hours film. However I think you spent too long on the cyclops, the film lingers there and loses a lot of this lunacy. I would have loved this film go through more episodes of The Odyssey, you could have taken us to some amazing places.

Little Frog
What I liked:
Great start and setup. Lighting is cool, and the grim tone is well established. The one-shot is controlled well and works great as a horror. Loved the eerie whistling. It’s short and doesn’t overdo things.

Take it or leave it:
Focus pulls or autofocus taking control? These were a little jerky in part and hard to see what it was showing/not showing in an effective way. Death/The Entity revealing the portrait is a good example of this. While I said being quite short was a bonus, perhaps a little more story or threat would have just elevated things. Death/The Entity looks good; just personally not a fan of the stereotypical portrayal.

Final hot air:
Overall, a well-made short with sinister overtones and love me an ambiguous ending. Perhaps a bit unlucky not to have made the shortlist. Well done!

What I liked:
Great chemistry between our leads and constant gags work in this. Loved the gun muzzle effects, and I too thought “Hell yeah!” when the boss was cut off early in the monologue. So good! Lots of fun and high on action.

Take it or leave it:
Yeah, we see the crew constantly in the sunglasses, but it’s like you didn’t care one bit. Light on story, heavy on gags and action with an oh-so-predictable 80s ending. It all works though because it’s just so fun.

Final hot air:
No doubt achieved what you set out to do. This is a real crowd-pleaser that nailed the genre. Great stuff.

What I liked:
Good performances in this from a young cast. Normally, I’d be like, don’t have him dressed like a detective, but it kind of works. Liked your eyeball macro shot with inverted colour – very Hitchcockian with a touch of Scorsese’s Cape Fear. Dark ending too – nice! And your original portrait is a work of art.

Take it or leave it:
Yeah, not all your aspect ratio changes are consistent, which adds just a bit of confusion at points. There’s a lot of walking from your detective too – walking, walking, then running – he needed to do more! What is he walking or running to/from!? I’m not sure.

Final hot air:
As Buddy suggests, some wireless lav mics would be useful – we have some quality sets in the Media Room at school, but damned if I’m lending them to you when you don’t even credit me after paying your entry fee – that makes me THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER (haha). Seriously though, you can’t have them. Keep doing your thing in this comp and outside it. Your films are looking better and better. Just keep telling your stories. You have an advantage being a teen team, so use that!

Loved it so much and made me laugh the whole time. Inclusive performance academy is amazing. As I am apart of the crew on a Thursday and a Tuesday afternoon. Great job guys
