Who is Mr Pickles?!

This film unfortunately didn't hit as hard for me as your first one. Although it did have my favourite moment in the whole comp so far, that being the monsters “get ready with me”. Video. SO FUNNY! I feel like the second video would have been better if you maintained the found footage through into it. There is no rule to say your film can’t be more than one genre, in the same way your first film was both found footage and horror comedy, your second film could have been escape and found footage. I also think found footage would have been really cool for the people getting picked off one by one.
Other than that a lot of my notes from the first film stand, you have room to improve in all areas, as is to be expected in school teams, but your ideas and comedy are great. Keep improving and come back next year stronger and more expirenced.

Yay, there's a part 2! It was nice that teams 2 Fast 2 Rolleston 2 Furious did two films last year, but this time we get the joy of a sequel, taking a leaf out of the Herms Heroes book.

The hand-drawn monster animations are lots of fun – but again, they could be made a lot scarier by going harder on the sound effects.

Really funny ending, turning the Found Footage YouTuber Horror on its head. Nice overlay of scribbles on eye too. Well done!

Everything we were quietly hoping for after the first film turned up in this one, including an animation of the monster and the reveal that he is also stealing kids for the content. The social media influencer joke is great and the two films stitch together in a classic 48hoursy way. It was very satisfying!

Here's the thing though, and it is a strategic note rather than a criticism, is what this does to you in judging. While we have here an entertaining back to back submission with two halves, judged on their own merit, both feel incomplete.

The second half throws a viewer straight into the action with no idea who anybody is or why they are there, and that makes it very hard to score fairly. Teams have tried the two parter before and it has gone against them, including one last year that got specifically pulled up for it despite the work being excellent. So it is ambitious, it is fun, and we love that you did it. Just go in knowing that the split costs you something with a judging process that looks at them one half at a time.

THE BEST THING: The payoff. Every question the first film left hanging gets answered, and the influencer reveal recontextualises the whole thing in a really excellent way.

THE NEXT THING: If you do a two parter again, make each half stand up alone. Give the second film thirty seconds of its own setup so anyone watching it cold still knows exactly where they are.
