Thoughts on the amount of/lack of alignment between the Chch final and the Grand final?

Team Moon is equal parts surprised and delighted to have made it to the final. I'm particularly enjoying the idea of people watching our film from last year to try and get a sense of what this year's film will be like.
I often didn't even notice the elements in the films this year (unless the filmmakers really drew attention to them).
I didn't notice the two tickets thing. Damn. That is rough.
I'm stoked with the reaction our film got at the screening last night.
I was just reflecting that I had a full script pretty much planned out by about 7:20pm on the Friday, but I'm glad that we kept searching around for another idea 'just in case' and came up with the one we went with.
Please let teams try and 5 star review their own films while pretending they are not involved in the film. For it is truly one of my favourite things about 48 Hours.
Happy with Opposites Attract as our genre. In fact all of them looked good (though I'm dreading the gross-out/cringe films at the heats)
Pandora's Night seemed the most novel, Split Sibling Decision seemed the most ambitious. (Both great films)
Of the two, SSD is the one I would have been most scared to greenlight at 2am on Saturday morning. So by that measure I think it was the riskiest.
Just back from the finals. What an amazing bunch of films!
Well deserved win for Free Chicken. Wouldn't be surprised if they took out the whole thing.
As I've mentioned previously, watching people write glowing reviews of their own films is one of my favourite things about the competition.
Which genre do you wish you'd gotten?
Z-Grade sounded like a lot of fun to me.
I think it was a great challenge.
Oh no, we certainly wouldn't have. It was just an amusing consequence of drawing the same genre multiple times.
There was a situation a few years ago where we could have ADR'd the new line in, changed a character name, and then resubmitted an old film that met all the requirements.
