Tūranga-nui-a-Kiwa / Gisborne
City Manager
Your Tūranga-nui-a-Kiwa / Gisborne City Manager and judge is Tom Paton.
Tom Paton

Tom Paton has been making films since high school; he spent his spare time in his 20s hanging out with friends and writing and shooting short films, skits, and music videos. When he heard about the 48Hours, he had to enter.
Competing for the first time in Wellington in 2006, he immediately caught the 48Hours bug. After a few more years competing in Wellington, he then moved to Gizzy. There, he tried his hand again and was the city runner-up in both 2010 and 2013.
He can't recommend the 48Hours enough; it's such a buzz getting stuck in and making a film in a weekend.
As the Gisborne Regional Manager, he loves his role. While he's disappointed to not be making a film, he's stoked to help facilitate his region's film-makers.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Tom.
