DSLR field monitor query

Hi all,
I need advice.
I have a shoulder mount stabiliser and follow focus rig for my 5Dii.
What I now need is a rig-mountable HDMI field monitor (Camera is offset).

1. Would you consider 5inch or 7inch to be better?
2. Is there much value in having a daisy-chained HDMI out (for a second monitor)?
3. What other feature are important?

Thanks in advance

1.7 inch
2. Not really imo
3. Resolution maybe, guess thats up to you, for me i want high res or at least 1080p capable and portable

The lilliput monitors seem to be quite popular among indie filmmakers and am gonna purchase one myself in the next few weeks, you can get them cheap as chips from ebay:

The 5D2 drops to 480p on output during record which i can tell you makes it even harder trying to pull focus run and gun etc. At least for me. I used my SmallHD DP6 on my 5D2 and when i got the 5D3 it actually made the monitor useful during record.

Rent a couple from the photography stores (they all have video DSLR kits now) and see if you actually like them and find them useful with the 5D2 is my suggestion before buying.

If you use the Magic Lantern software (why the hell wouldn't you if using a canon SLR for video) it outputs at 1080p via HDMI :-)

-7" sounds good.
-should've daisy-chained HDMI out for complementary use (if required in later use)
-Better Vsync-Hsync compatibility with 1080p (Use IPS display monitors)

If you're a total cheapwad you can use an android tablet with an app called DSLR controller. Doubt the battery would last a day though.
