Enjoyed this film, looked great, coherent story. Well done you guys!

Well produced and acted horror, even a few genuin moments of surprise Beginnings of a solid competent team to watch in the future.

Well shot and acted short with a set up of all elements of a good horror: the did you/didn't you see the ghoul at the window/mirror, every one separating off and going in their own direction, nice touch of blood and gore, freaky man etc. Nice use of the required prop too. I kept waiting for the shock scare scene where I would scream out loud - it wouldn't have taken much but it never quite got there. Even so this didn't detract the film from being a solid entry in the heat.

I wouldn't say this was a scary film (would have helped a lot being shot in the dark), but it was pretty inventive and well put together. I especially liked the use of the prop. The old trick of seeing things in the mirror only for them not to be there when you turn around was done really well!

I enjoyed this film guys. A scary horror is a tough achievement, I thought the acting was solid and there was some really good tension, the sound was awesome and it was really well written. I especially enjoyed the woman being hugged/strangled to death, loved it. The bits that let me down were the "I did that" line, the burnt guy didn't look believably burnt and I had to think about the Nicky Brick character, I guess everyone is unlucky in this one. You guys should be proud of this effort overall in a heat which I thought had some good films. Unlucky not to make the Finals. (Watched it again online, altered my review)

Good production value and excellent acting. Awesome use of techniques to scare the audience right from the start of this movie had me nervously waiting to see what would happen next. It would have got my top vote if there was more depth to the story and a more satisfying ending as it started off so well.

Definitely one of the better efforts. Creepy more than scary. The set very well done and more importantly, not over-done. A bit more story would have been nice though.

Really well done. I loved that you focused on building creepy tension instead of going for cheap thrills through harsh sound design. I really liked most of the sound design as well, and thought the "I did that" line at the end was a great David Lynch moment. Great acting and editing! The main character was consistently spooky and everyone did a good job reacting to their silencing. The shot where the ghost appears twice in the mirror was well done, and I love Nicky's reaction to the character pointing at the brick. ;-) The cinematography was a bit uneven...some really excellent shots mixed in with some that just got the job done. This took me out of the story a little bit, just because I wanted everything to be as good as those excellent ones. The story builds well once we're in the house...I'm not sure exactly how I would change the beginning but I feel like it could use some more buildup. Overall great job! I think with more sound design and color grading to maintain the mood this will be a solid short to send to other festivals as well. I can't wait to see what you do next year!

Alright first try.

It was a reasonable film, ended better than it started but kept it simple so it was good.

Unlucky first. Newsreel was well done, but it lost energy after that.

I would have played this for more 'odd' than they did, the actors seemed to be heading in that direction. It would have been good to have seen some more footage :)

An 'interesting' film about the end of the world... Mmm - can't say much, bad acting, pretty static... I think they spent the bulk of their time green-screning in reporters around the world. Nice comet at the start... And good 'melancholia-esque' sound at the end... shook the cinema. Thoughts for next time - don't go too heavy on promoting V.

The beginning was pretty good! I liked the detail in the logo on the microphone. So many lolz when that woman wanted to sex the guys in the park, it's the end of the world, someone's got to do it

Started out strong with nice comet effects and some very well done news broadcasts. After that it went flat with too much bowing to sponsors (don’t do that, it breaks the fourth wall in a very lame way) and nothing much else.

Must be hard being first - or maybe easier as no standard to follow. If the actors were meant to be cheesy-acting, it was funny (ha ha). Some of the time entertaining but seemed a fairly easy theme (compared to some others) that provided a good scope of possibilities that didn't seem quite pursued. Good at shooting some many concepts in such a short time though

Another good, solid effort! Well done boys, amazing special effects and attention to detail, laugh out loud moments all around! I don't think these guys made their film in anticipation of being first at the heat, BCC ya layabout!

Overall the production values were pretty poor, some sloppy editing and overall felt rather disjointed. Kind of weak story as well, but this gets points solely from the gag with the girl in the park, hilarious and realistic as well.

Since when were filmmakers politically correct? It makes perfect sense that FTI incorporated V in the script afterall this is the V 48 hour Film Festival. Duh?! You guys are just jealous that the film had a green screen, ace special effects and of course the celebrity endorsement of descent actors. I think the production was not intending to "bow down" to the sponsors, it was very clear that this is a very funny and awkward gag and I think it is important not to take this too seriously and not be too P.C. about it because it is only a competition.
