The Vista Foundation 48Hours is back for 2026, with the official shoot weekend scheduled for July 31 to August 2. To ensure financial barriers don't stand in the way of creative storytelling, a range of scholarship opportunities and free team registrations are available for this year's competition.

Free 48Hours Entries for Charities! Thanks to STUDIOCANAL - Community Love is offering 10 free entries to the Vista Foundation 48Hours.

If you work with young filmmakers and the entry fee is a barrier, email Ashley with a quick intro about your mahi and why this opportunity matters to your group. Apply during the registration period!

Screen Wellington

Screen Wellington is once again backing Wellington filmmakers is helping teams where entry costs are a barrier to register for the Vista Foundation 48Hours.

Industry Partners Scholarships

Additional support is available through our incredible industry partners. Ngā Aho Whakaari, PISA, PASC, and Proud Voices on Screen all have scholarship entries to give out.

These organisations also have scholarship registrations available: Film BOP, Film Otago Southland, Screen Canterbury and the VFX Guild.
