This is so good. Incredibly well-paced, shot, edited and acted. The comedic timing is perfect. So many things I missed on a first watch - the soiled hand in the bathtub (somehow), the allergy warning on the note. Clever writing and superb use of the genre that doesn't at any point lurch anywhere near the go-to demon possession we typically see. The acting is so natural from our leads and the neighbour character, for only having one line - brilliantly done. Instantly rewatchable and standalone outside of this comp.

Love this and I hope it is a national finalist.

Delicious and daring. The performances were delicious as was the whole package. This is the exact film that I hope to see from this festival ;-)
Like the other reviewer said, extremely rewatch able!

I can honestly say that the first 30 seconds ensured that I had absolutely no idea where this film was going. Strap yourself in, because this was the most memorable possession film that I saw this year, featuring stellar acting, great editing and music choices and a sexy chef that stole the show. The audience at the grand finals could not stop laughing as this film gets progressively more steamy, until the ending (which I did not expect) delivered a clean punchline and a satisfying payoff. I think this was an audience favourite, and it was definitely one of mine. Love your work Permanently Confused!

This was one of my absolute fave's from the Grand Finalists and I don't know how it wasn't in the top 3 if not the winner. The sultry mandarin of Shi Fu Dong had me cracking up, the sensual slow-motion chopping, the hand-pulled noodles! Such a brilliant funny display of your culture and a genuine laugh out loud experience. Great job team!

Wonderfully inventive take on the possession film. I was highly impressed with the performance by the lead actor. To lead a film, make it believable, make it hilarious and to do it in multiple languages and with multiple characters is remarkable. He is supported by a fantastic cast-mate and a great script. Well done
