I'm afraid I'm just going to have to say this was a bit of a dud for me. Bunch of guys get really wasted and get chased, but turns more in to a comedy than a true horror. Horror really needs to build up some tension then BAM! something happens, which didn't really happen. There was a Bam moment with the 2nd guy turning up to kill but wasn't enough build up to that point. Definitely seems the guys had fun making it, but probably a little too in-jokey for my liking.

Haha, to be honest I loved the shot where the three boys are running down the road, real energy. And the end was... well my mate liked it. A fun film, some shocking special effects.

'Horror' never entered my head while I watched this, and it's a shame too because if you ignore the genre entirely then the film itself is a good piece, and great for a bit of a laugh. Of course, you can take a genre as far as you like, and obviously you guys did - and had fun in the process which is what this competition is all about. For me it was just a little bit too funny, but that's a personal taste. The run from the killer was great - if a little long - and I almost cracked up at the shot of the broken neck. I think toned down a little it would have made for a more suspenseful film, and it would have been good to see what the result of that was, but not everything needs to be serious and sombre. You guys obviously had fun making it, and no-one can fault you on that. Great work!

[Disqualified: no sound file at hand-in] Three guys go to a party, get wasted, throw-up and then are freaked out by someone scary, so they run away to the sanctuary of their home. Pretty dark and grainy for the most part and the dialogue is incomprehensible and redundant far too often. It gets a bit tedious and hardly has any frights. The highlights were the kills which were entertaining and amusing - as was the post credit sequence! Lots of fun had by all quite obviously and an original song to boot! Keep it up, dudes!

I really enjoyed this film, admittedly not very 'Horror' but a good watch all the same. Great song at the start and good running sequence ect. The downer for me was the extended end, had they stopped at "Bro there's no toilet paper" would have been funnier, but boys will be boys and obviously they enjoyed their fart sound effects...

A creepy good time. The opening music on this one was great, and I particularly appreciated the rap music/lyrics that appeared to be crafted specifically for this film. Nice technical work on the opening sequence/edits/effects/etc. The first scene where the body is getting stabbed like crazy in the alley was kind of nuts. Great music choice when they were running for their LIVES. Excellent timing and moment when they pause (and everything pauses) at the crosswalk. I loved that part. The neck-breaking/head-snap was convincingly done. It was a pretty brutal and vicious ending. The final shot was a bit of an oddity amongst the heats I saw. It was an excellently composed shot, but it kept going on and on and on... to the point that it practically entered some of that Family Guy territory where things get so ridiculous they become hilarious. I don't know if I felt it was hilarious, but I heard pockets of laughter throughout the audience, and it was definitely a gutsy (and, I'd say, effective) aftermath-ish scene. Things to work on: There really wasn't a whole lot of story going on that I could tell, beyond "get drunk run around omg there's a killer wtf" or something like that. You guys looked like you probably had a lot of fun doing this, but there was enough skill involved that I'll bet you could really produce something awesome if maybe your genre focused you a bit more or you didn't totally go overboard with V or something like that.

The opening musical number started the film off nicely. then it was all downhill. I spent most of the film laughing at the film and not with it. that is until the end, after the credits had played.: at first I was like what the hell guys please stop wasting my time, then it got to that point where it had gone on to long... then it was possibly the funniest moment of the night. Looks like you had fun making the film, or at least it looked like some good friends having fun. Im not going to put you down for having fun. That said if you want to, next year have a go at telling a story and don't drink so much V :)

We set out to have a good weekend and that was most definitely achieved. A shot with bad lighting, a shot with bad audio and generally bad dialogue. But given that our film had a habit of poking fun at its self this didn't detract too badly. As a crew member I'm obviously quite biased but we hoped to get a few laughs and got a great many. No doubt you will see us again next year.

The neck break was a particulasr higlight for me, but other than that the film was quite boring and had no storyline. Nice rap though

Didn't really enjoy this at all sorry, the only part that was vaugley interseting was the neck break, bad storyline although the bigger guy the white seal guy was pretty sexy... ;)

The lighting and my recollection of the first half of this film are both rather dim, but I do vaguely recall a student party, complete with some hearty chundering. Then a bunch of guys get spooked by some dodgy character in a dark place, and scream and run away. And then inexplicably keep running and running some more, for no apparent reason, since it is not shown that they are being followed. Eventually they reach someone’s flat, and they breathlessly try to figure out what to do, apart from one of the group who falls asleep on the couch. Another friend arrives, and as he enters gets mortally attacked by the killer lurking just outside. They we have some quick edits as we see the bloodbath ensue, with all conscious persons getting brutally and colourfully murdered. And then it is the next morning, and the guy who coma’d out on the couch wakes up, hungover, and staggers off-camera to the loo, not noticing the carpet of dead bodies that litter the room. This was an odd film, with strange and sometimes sudden shifts in tone. It represents what seems to be the most common interpretation of the Horror genre in the 48Hours competition, being more in-your-face BOO! scares and splatter than any sort of tension or creeping terror. The pause in the pounding action music as the guys waited for the lights to change so they can cross the road was a highlight, and the sound edit there was nicely executed to punctuate this gag. They also clearly had a lot of fun with the killings. It would have been nice to have some idea of who the various characters were, with a bit more distinction between them (eg: the stoner, the angry guy, the guy who freaks out, the guy who watches horror films and knows all the tropes, etc.), cos as it stood it was just a bunch of guys who partied, then ran, then stood around, then got killed. Special mention needs to be made of the post-credits bit, which is virtually a different film to what came before; it’s as if they got bored with the Horror genre, and decided to have a go at One Shot instead. It’s at first a rather funny twist to end the story on, but then quickly devolves into some rather childish bodily-function sound effects. This particular dead horse got an awful lot of flogging, as the shot went on and on and on some more. And I must have missed the inclusion of the prop earlier in the piece, because after the guy called out to his (deceased) friends for some toilet paper, I was totally waiting for the follow-up, “Oh wait, never mind, there’s a leaf here, I’ll just use that.” Anyway, classic 48Hours; the whole thing didn’t really make much sense, but it’s obvious that they had fun at least.
