EDITED COMMENT It sez a lot when there are no reviews of a flick... These guys/girls have some skill, but story is not one of them though. Through all the Magic Bullet colour grading, quick flash edits and very, very average camera skills this film is an empty vapour. A poor mash-up of the alt-mind of Fight Club and Beautiful Mind. Without any of the charm of either. MacJay, (from their masturbating team intro to the vapid, ah-that-solves-it-all-close-up-pill-bottle-ending) seem to thumb their noses at the audience and offer them little else. Lamest use of the prop in all of Heat 2 and the line was...well, it was used, lets just leave it at that. And how was Bobby an ex-bully? Dropped the ball, fellas. I just couldn't find a soul in their film. I wish it were otherwise, but it ain't.

I thought this film was excellent. The storyline was nothing short of pure genius - a schizophrenic having a revenge war on himself; priceless! I thought that while maybe the cinematography, lighting etc was fairly average, this was covered perfectly well by an excellent script that was acted well. Well done guys - you were my pick of the night by far.

good film, nuff said

A decently-produced film with a confusing tone, and a cheap twist. Technically speaking, this film was fairly proficient, and visually economical, but this was let down by a weak story, and a muddled tone. The main body of the film didn't do enough to communicate the seriousness that it intended, and the twist, while nicely executed visually, felt neither emotionally earned, nor narratively original. There is clearly a lot of creativity on this team, but I would like to see them focus on making something more tonally consistent, and less one-dimensional. Keep it up, guys.

Although I felt the story took some time to get moving, once it did it was a well done short, and far from being a detraction, the rapid cuts did a lot to aid the story and its development, especially towards the end. The mandatory line seemed to be shoved as an afterthought, I would have liked it to be a bit better integrated. At the end of it all, the audience had their questions answered and a clever idea came to resolution. Good job.

I definitely found this one... interesting... I felt like the first few minutes were for me to sit there and say to myself, "Yes, and?" but as soon as the revenge started taking hold in such familiar and funny ways, I warmed to this piece. And just as I was going to voice my disappointment at the thought of the film being a mundane squabble between flatmates, BAM. The plot twist. Nice ending too. I want to see these guys next year.
