This confusing and muddled plot was difficult to understand. The main character was either investigating or romantically involved with a serial killer (not sure which). A series of flashbacks showed some gruesome murders which the serial killer had committed and then we somehow got to the main character talking to the serial killer and then the freeze frame ending. A voice-over was present in parts of the film but was hard to make out. I liked the use of the wire as the serial killers calling card and the callback to Sidney Manson, the 2010 required character. The sound cut out every now and then and some of the video was murky.

Good use of prop! Some sound issues were obvious and the story a little unclear but I thought this team did a good job. It would have been nice to go into a bit more depth on who the characters were and their relationships with each other but overall a good effort!

First thoughts are that i enjoyed the sequencing between the book and the (i'm guessing) flashbacks to the scenes of the gruesome murders. Soundtrack really served this opening part of the film well. I was let down at the lack of story, characterstion and a clear connection between the current holder of the book and the 'Heartless' killer. Also, the V/O was weak as was a lot of the sound (which if done correctly could have bumped up the film majorly) but none the less, what was inaudible was fairly important to the story so a lot was lost due to bad sound, missing out on an attempt at a circular narrative with "I never used to be this heartless" Overall, the film had a lot of potential but was squandered away in the details of the film. P.S brilliant use of prop as the calling card - very creative. Good stuff

A young woman finds a scrapbook containing souvenirs from gruesome murders which raises the question: Is it hers or someone close to her? A series of flashbacks flesh out some of the killings and the motive behind them which leads into the films conclusion. No audio on the team intro was a bad omen and this leaked over into the main film with noticeable audio issues - usually too quiet, especially with the all important voice overs. The music was good and fitted nicely with the opening scene which I thought was great! Great use of prop - in fact there was a lot of bent wire around and a nice touch to give a nod to characters of 48HRS past. Glad to see you pretty much stayed age-appropriate with your casting. Lots of talent in this young team and I know them pretty well so keep the film-making going! PS -Nice team t-shirts!

Definitely a favourite of mine, with the crime genre being followed clearly. While lead male acting was a little off, the others did a good job- particularly the girl who finds the book (great voice over) and Bobby the ex-bully. While some of this was hard to understand...the plot mainly got it's point across with the final voice over by the lead female. Shame the male voice over cut out. Nice flashbacks, and very well put together, hope to see you guys next year!

I liked the contrast between melodrama and deadpannery. Acting was good but not great. The developing feeling over the whole film was very compelling and the reason I scored it so high despite some key faults. The unexpected use of a guy running ludicrously awkwardly through trees as (very) brief comic relief was highly original too. The sound was bad in places and the voiceover of the male lead was particularly dirty. Although still intelligible there was far too much pollution and volume disparity. This was a polarising film and several people with me didn't engage with it at all, a large part of which was it required us to be instantly involved from the first shot (a big ask) before a very fast paced first half. Just a few steps off being great but instead just a very tentative good.

This film was so very close to being excellent. Nice play on the 'crime genre'. Acting a bit rough in places, but major potential shows!! I loved the main character-particularly towards the end, and you could really empathize with Bobby. Use of last years 'Sydney Manson' was a cute and hilarious element, and the book of images was so well constructed- I commend you very highly on that effort. With a couple of flaws in the sound, the technical element was other wise good. Definitely one of my favourites of the lot, a great effort from the team.

This was a good interpretation on the 'crime genre', stereotypically boring, or bond based. The running man gave a light hearted change to the rest of the film! Loved the female characters, and real potential in the 'heartless'- did he double as director? The soundtrack was absolutely stunning and very professional, really enjoyed this film- though it was let down by a few minor script errors and sound flaws.

Maximum Capacity alright! Loved the use of the prop- very innovative. While there were a couple of things in the plot I didn't quite understand (relationship between girl with book and other charracters, especially 'heartless'), the story has real potential. Soundtrack was fantastic, as was most of the acting-and highly commend the young females. Though the 'murder weapon' the pretty red-head had was a little unbelievable- a pocket knife, come on guys! ,the story was believeable and portrayed the serial killing crime well.
