I really liked this film. The genre was done very well and the twist was a great touch. Well done ladies

Very well done filming the whole movie as a table conversation, great interpretation of genre and twist at the end. The actress was amazing, so convincing.

my favourite of the heat if only because of my love for a bit of cynicism. truly fantastic acting by the accused lady, a little stoic by the psychiatrist but still good. only gripe on the story is that it would have felt more powerful to me to cut the ending realisation and leave her hopeful of seeing her daughter...we understand the twisted nature of the relationship, but she is blinded by hope. but anyway it's always good to see a serious, well executed character study.

The cinematography was bright, sharp and clear and stood out compared to the rest of the DSLR films we had seen. However, over 7 minutes those shots became limited and so some other angles would have added to pace. However, great acting, and a good twist at the end which made you go ‘aaahhhh!’.

A counsellor/shrink interviews her patient about a prior obsessive relationship. After a clever little intro that played a bit naughty with the word "control", we're thrust into a typical looking interview room where all the action takes place. This is a dialogue heavy character piece of a short that is really well acted and scripted. The lack of variety in the camera shots (mostly over the shoulder conversation shots) is a double-edged sword. On the one hand the continual use of medium close-ups draws you in to the characters and engages you in what they're saying, free from distraction. On the other hand, it gets really repetitive and therefore a bit boring. Recording some room ambience may have helped with a couple of audio parts getting a bit hissy but otherwise the technical side of this film was quite strong. Well done!

A one-room immobilised obsessive relationship thriller. A little samey with the camera choices, but great dialogue that knew when to push the knife in further and when to just wiggle it about a bit.

Great acting in this one by the lead role. Although that made it hrd to match for the secondary role and at times I found some things very fake because of it. The idea was great but the script lacked 'realness'. Sometimes its as if they were reading and not just saying things. This also couldve been a great '1 room' genre also. The twist on the end definitely saves it and is a bloody good one too! I think it just needed some more substance because you can drag on in 7 minutes and I feel it did a little at one stage. But all in all a great film and one to be proud of!

Great storyline and great twist... didn't see that coming! The middle lacked creativity and was just the same angles, shots and seemed to fall short. Keeping it to one room always makes it hard and that's when you have to get really creative. If you are locked in one room think' outside the box (so to speak). Things like CCTV shots and shots of what people are doing (foot shaking nervously, hand fidgeting etc.) save the day. Acting was great from patient but that made it hard for psychiatrist to keep up but she did really well! Prop and line use wasn't creative but effective. Definitely one of the best of the heat and very enjoyable to watch!

Really good acting job by the American lead. Very well shot dialogue scene at the beginning. Great sound. Interesting closing scene. Uncomfortable story. Great technical execution, but a story that didn't appeal to me personally.
