This whole film was redeemed by the last line of whole thing, loved it! Apart from that, a good idea, some nice acting especially the guy with the lisp/stutter and the main actor with the blond hair. Team has potential as I see alot of diversity and skill, well done!

Original idea, and well followed through. Realistic human reactions to situations and good acting generally. The end line was the winner for me and completed the film.

This mockumentary focuses on the effect of a doomsday cult on two of its members, Nicky & Danny. Interviews, some actuality, general craziness - most of what you would expect of this style. I did at times feel that it lost its identity however and seemed to go more narrative. Anyway, on the production side of things there was some pretty quiet audio and I think you could have varied your interview style up a bit as it all got pretty tedious. I loved the scene where the pregnant girlfriend is banging on the door and of course the last line of the film. Looks like you had fun. Hope you return again!

I think the idea was really good, and it had a lot of bits that made me laugh. It was a bit sloppy though. Some of the script/dialogue could be a little more refined. The acting was good in some places, but messy and nervous in other bits.

Amazing! Original and simple :D It was very funny throughout and well thought out. Clever twist to the end-my personal favourite.

I loved the spin on the idea of the world not ending and the funny twist at the end! There was also a lot of cool funny scenes in it like the pregnancy scene and microwave scene. The use of the prop and line were seamlessly added so that you wouldn't tell what they were unless you knew! Great film!

The end of the world isn't all it's cracked up to be. This was a fun film, and it got better as it progressed. I enjoyed the music and sound effects in the opening scene. Good efforts by the leads, especially the ginger bloke, though I feel like he kept looking at the camera, which was distracting (though I suppose it was a documentary, so they weren't supposed to be actors). Did you guys actually break a lens filter when the camera tipped over during the "loan sharks attack" scene? Great effect, regardless. Lots of laughs throughout this, especially at the amazing "I'm pregnant" scene. Great reaction from the actor. Extremely funny and well-timed ending, and a perfect cut to the credits. Things to work on: The audio was pretty thin throughout the film. I don't know if you used an external mic, but if you did, it needed to be closer to the actors or... just... done better next go-around. Practicing the workflow would be a benefit. Again, I know it was a documentary, but some better camera work would improve the product too. Overall, though, I enjoyed it despite the few technical flaws.

This film was a bit of a painful watch for me. You guys had a great idea but the films technical ability let you down in this case. That said, I enjoyed the pregnancy joke and the final line was gold.

a great concept, i really have to give it to you. let down by your technical ability. two great jokes in the movie, the pregnancy one was funny but not exactly smart, the end joke of the film was inspired. sorry to say but the film was let down by its technically ability and sadly it's age inappropriate casting. great concept, sadly it's letdown by the story that follows.

Doco style and technical aspects could do with some work but i loved the concept and the humor. Acting wasn't half bad either.

I rather liked this approach to the End Of The World genre, focusing mockumentary-style on a couple of guys who join a cult which believes that the world is going to end. An unusual choice for the format in 48hours (but common especially in independent documentary filmmaking) is the addition of an onscreen filmmaker/interviewer, and this character does add a nice narrative framing to the story. I also liked the use of the “six months later” follow-up, which is another familiar trope of the documentary style. The performances were by-in-large good, perhaps a little too big in places, but at other times played fairly straight and subtle, which is want you want to be aiming for with a mockumentary. The pacing was a bit slow to begin with, but things picked up when the predicted world’s end came and went without rapture. In fact, I think in general it was the latter half of this film that made it memorable, especially the final ‘twist’ event, and of course one of the characters’ reaction to the news to cap it all off nicely. Typically, when a team gets their genre, one early decision to be made is how they will interpret it. But with these guys, it seems that they couldn’t quite decide, and so this film actually gave us three interpretations of the genre for the price of one. To wit: the cult planning for the end of the world; the emotional seeming end of the world when the rapture doesn’t come to pass, leaving the characters directionless and destitute; and finally, a literal (threat of) end of the world. So yeah, a fun film, lacking a bit of technical polish and maybe it had some pacing issues, but ultimately some great ideas shone through.
