A really funny film with some brilliant acting, which did a good job of 're-imagining' the genre with a particularly literal interpretation. The awkward humour was great, and a little bit of technical smoothing would have made an even more awesome film.

So instead of the end of existence of life on Earth as we know it, 'The World' was actually a person; the reigning regional darts champion to be precise. If it had not ended like it did I probably would be giving it a negative review as that's taking subversion a little too far in my book...kinda like the year a team made their M Night Shymalan Big Twist film be all about M Night films... I'm not going to, though, this had a nice fly on the wall feel to it with some entertaining crude humour. The main area I'd recommend working on would be sound as it was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of being able to clearly hear dialogue or not.

An interesting and enjoyable film, mostly for the little situations and scenes thrown in along the way rather than for the storyline. There were a lot of gems along the way that made me laugh or smirk and the script emphasised on these moments, making them a strong asset. Good acting, obviously playing to strengths and not afraid to go over-the-top which I enjoyed but others may not. I would reccomend watching it, though it's not genius in either its execution or idea.

This film was well acted and put together. It’s always impressive to see a 48hour film that uses lots of locations like this film did. However the sound editing was a little off, but other than that the editing was nicely done for a well paced film. However one factoid really interfered with my enjoyment of this film and that is that it really seemed to be evading the provocation of its genre. Being a huge fan of the end of the world genre I was quite disappointed that the creators of the film seemed to be avoiding that genre, and it gave me the sense that they didn’t like the genre and were purposely trying to get away from it or that they already had an idea they were determined to do no matter what genre they got. To me this is a big deal and I think a 48hour film is most successful when it embraces the received genre even if its something the team doesn’t want. The ending of the film that tied into the genre, even though it did somewhat tie into the rest of the story still felt to me like it was thrown in there just to appease the genre requirements. But other than that, a fun film.
