I really loved this film. Beautifully shot, story was well thought out and developed for only a seven minute film. Was one of my favorites of the night, great job!!

loved the film. really strong idea and very well executed.awesome camera skills aswel easily the best film from heat 1.hope to see you in the finals

This was my favourite from heat 1. Awesome plot and epic shots made a great short film.

This movie about a private eye getting phone calls to solve crimes that never happened was very well executed. Visually it looked stunning, and the story was very well executed, kept you guessing until the end. The shots and the framing was very beautiful, except for the odd slip such as the plastic bags seen in the overhead shot that the actor was sitting on. If I was to have one little gripe it was the way the character was incorporated. It did feel a little like it could have almost been a cut and paste job, with just changing the name and characteristic without affecting the story at all. It was well done as it was, but I guess just a little picky thing that stood out to me. But otherwise definitely one of the highlights of the night. Glad it got audience favourite, definitely deserved it.

From the first shot of the film where the camera looks out onto the Hamilton lake and then pans down (crane?) to the two detectives sitting at the park bench, we know we are in for a treat. The sharpness of focus and the camera movement give the film an incredibly professional look. As a mystery film, 'Lillian' worked at keeping audiences guessing where the film would lead and what mystery were we really trying to solve. The performances were surprisingly strong for a 48 hour film and the chemistry between the two leads (who I imagine are good friends outside of the film) gave their roles credibility. As it was before mentioned I was a bit disappointed with the throw away use of the Bobby Young character which I think will hurt 'Lillian' in the finals. The ending left many questions hanging. With one mystery solved there were ten more begging to be answered. The best film of the heat and a strong contender for the Hamilton champ.
