Keep Your Game Face On

This film had me laughing out loud, a solid comedic effort. I thought the pan shots around the game table were smooth and interesting, gave the film a professional feel. Some of the sound was a little bit interesting, mic/camera fuzz between shots varied, which made full viewing engagement difficult, (perhaps volume issues, I don't know). I think you perhaps overused the fade, cutting in and out of the same scene with no notable time change was confusing. I really liked how the film began somewhat sensibly and then deteriorated into hilarious madness. The 'head sack' was hilarious. Top work.

Missing Demetri

As good as this movie was, I really struggled to enjoy it, purely because of all the dialogue. The film was funny, well shot, well directed, but it did not conform to its allocated genre. Unless there is some loophole I am unaware of, a non dialogue movie should have no dialogue. The acting was very good too, and as cheesy as it was, I felt the ending was quite strong in many respects. The overhead shots above the bed were quite artistic. Apologies for the low rating, I really wish I could go higher. And as I said, if there is some loophole or I'm missing something important I will change it pronto. :) Well done.

Once a Winker, Always a Winker

I really enjoyed this movie, I laughed throughout. The first 3/4 of the film was very well shot, the end seemed somewhat rushed. The characters were interesting and funny, and the acting was convincing. One of the actors 'interviews' had some poor sound, which stuck out. There was also some kind of rendering glitch near the start, but there isn't a great deal you can do about that. The 'did you hear that' was ironically very quiet. I felt as if the pacing at the start was very slow because of the interviews, but a lot of information was revealed which made the plot clear. Nice work.

Experiment 24696

I really enjoyed this film, post production team, hats off to you. An outstanding editing effort. This film was well shot, the acting was strong, and as I've said the editing was fantastic. An all round great effort. My only real criticism was the very ending, not a great use of our insomniac friend Mr. Meyer. I felt as if the main character should have been called Vic, and that the last character should have been another robot or something, which would have been interesting. I was very impressed with this film. Top work. :)

KUNG-FOODOO

This was my favourite film of the heat, a future 48hours classic in my opinion. Cinematography, editing (the hill/temple sunset shot -WOW :D ), acting, and plot all came together to make a genuinely good short film. It was great how you embraced so many cliche ninja techniques, made the film great fun to watch. Action scenes were hilarious and very well shot. The after effects were spectacular, the energy ball battle was fantastic. It looks as if you guys had so much fun filming this, and that good energy is really infused in the film. Hats off to you, gentlemen, I hope you go far in the competition.

Flat Note

Well done for giving this genre a go, many teams are terrified of it. The backing tracks were very well recorded and the camera work and acting was great, I felt as if the plot didn't really exist, and some of the singing was... well. Some of the characters were quirky, which was interesting. Nice work.

Time to spare

A noble effort, funny POV commentary and an absolute cracker of beetle! I feel as if the film needed another dimension, perhaps more variety in the shots. Less obvious dialogue could be something to work on in the future, but having said that, the plot was very clear because of it. The strange, frightening, tiger whipping, clown thing was possibly the most bizarre thing imaginable. I question its overall relevance. A nice ending, well done. :)
