super cool idea really enjoyed the film

Interesting concept?... One shot was the trip up, the camera control wasn't the best and the idea did not convey itself well. Better luck next year with a better genre.

Hard genre. Didn't understand what the hell was going on tbh.

A young man and woman have a cup of tea in a tense, quiet and extremely sterile kitchen. Something is very, very amiss with this whole situation. A one-shot horror, this actually had me completely transfixed. While some of the camera work wasn't as smooth as you may have liked, I felt that it didn't detract from the story but added to the uneasy feel. The jerky slow motion was the only exception to this! Solid use of sound FX and the music choice was a perfect fit. The background ambience was a bit hissy and maybe a low drone would have been a better fit. The one-shot/long take forces you to watch and doesn't give you any let up from the action. The execution of this one-shot gave you exactly that - it put you into an uncomfortable situation and made you stay. This was well acted and your casting was spot on. LHSTD are mostly the returning CHCH "Best School" team and "Emerging Talent" recipients from 2011. I do know them well but they genuinely surprised and impressed me with this mature effort. I think this film would have gone over the heads of a number of the audience and it does fit snuggly into the category of Arthouse Wank. However, I think repeat viewings will clear a lot of things up for people. I certainly can't wait to see it again.
