Only Couch Kumara could take a teams meeting and make it a 10/10 comedy. Amazing film! Put ya dick away Andrew!

How to make the 'found footage' genre work in way that hasn't been done before? It's honestly to me a genre that has run its course peaking with SEARCHING so I commend competition legends Couch Kumara for trying something a bit out of the box.

Here we get the team of 6 recording a video with one of their colleagues unable to join the zoom. 2 main items on the agenda that couldn't be more different. One serious and dark, the other given more scrutiny as the central plot point allowing dark humour to come to the fore in classic CK style in a satisfying conclusion.

Solid ensemble work all around with the play it straight host, the toilet humour comic relief and a bride to be so eager to share her news that the edges of darkness get lost in her rainbow.

My issues with the film were mainly to do with form. My personal take with splitscreen is it is typically most successful when movement generates a focal point for the viewer, and there was a lot of static zoom imagery with comic action in the periphery. Then when the movement came it was generally when moved to a centralised screen and a bit jarring in terms of the edit at times.

Having said that the 2 screen split between the O'Connors was really well done and a very strong comedic hit point for mine. And that little rejection of Conor from the meeting was an absolute gold meta moment of hilarity.

Did all the jokes hit like normal? Honestly not really. I find this team always nails deadpan so well yet a couple of punchlines for me didn't feel like they had the buildup for a laugh to be a payoff like intended creating a flat reaction rather than guffaw.

Not to rag too much as you guys are amazing but again coming back to the stylistic choice it had the film not quite visually pop and look as cinematic as I would have loved. But what you did have visually was vibrance, balance and cohesion so overall a nice looking film.

It's a good film don't get me wrong, it's just tough when I probably have a negative bias to hold you to a higher standard to other teams and I liked the film but didn't love it.

Moments of comedy gold are scattered throughout this film and possibly the most quotable line of any film so far "put ya d*ck away Andrew"... GOLD.
Found footage is looking to be the most challenging genre but CK managed to pull out fresh moments and great laughs amongst this wee gem.
This team has been setting the bar so high for many years with their rip roaring visuals and storylines and this one is up there amongst the other creative interpretations of the FF films on display.

crack up, really loved the POV shot... all my peers reviewing it here are right "put ya d*ck away Andrew" is an all timer

CK delivered a really clever take on the found footage genre with stunning editing and motion graphics. From one post-production nerd to another - this was so impressive. Especially in the almighty stressful 48 hour film production window! The ensemble cast delivered confident, dry performances in classic CK style. Everyone on-screen nailed their performance, although I found it a little overwhelming to connect with any one character deeply with so many people on screen at any one time. The running scene CRACKED me up and there were so many small details and easter eggs throughout the film that demand a second viewing. The ending was hilarious and although the set-up was quite obvious at the start (in hindsight), I never saw the twist coming until it arrived. This was a fun take on the bland, dull culture of online meetings - if all work meetings were like this, I'd need a supply of popcorn with me 24/7!
