Powerful opening with the music and teddy. Perfect audio balance between dialogue, SFX, and music. A brilliant portrayal of a child’s fear of dark stairs at night. Genuinely creepy with the dark figure rising, toys moving on their own, and eerie ghost sounds. Stunning cinematography throughout!
Excellent sound design in particular throughout this film, you had a strong consistent mis en scene across your short that evoked memories of Nicholas Wending Refn's neon images.
With such a strong technical skillset and a very good lead actress this team made a very enjoyable engaging film. Evolution of story or more narrative beats or a central dramatic question will elevate your films even more but great job here!
This was a richly crafted technical gem, with a gripping sense of tension that had me wondering what would happen next - and made me excited about the potential in the director leading this film. Unfortunately I couldn't easily slip into the feet of your character and so the film didn't quite land strongly as it could have with a little clearer character development - a refined focus on story and character will be a huge difference maker next year. Keep up the amazing work.
