Leaked music video footage of three sisters reveals a harmony that hits all the wrong notes.

I really loved your film. Immediately I thought this might be one of the most beautifully shot 48hours films I’ve ever seen. The cinematography, lighting, locations, sets, costuming, direction, acting, editing, it all came together so well. I really enjoyed the story too, and your take on found footage. Great idea to do it in a way that still allows you to create cinematic shots. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see this go further in the comp, congrats on making a really good short film!

Absolutely stunning looking film. Each frame leapt off the screen. Dreamy when it called for dreamy. Crisp when it called for it. Great choices all round.
A fresh take on the found footage genre - a genre which is giving us some absolute gold this year.
Very poignant and pointed as the BTS is often more drama (and adventure/fun) than what makes it onto the screen in the 48hour films. So in many ways a mirror on the film festival itself (minus the suggested inc*st of course).

Having recently watched the sensational LURKER at the film festival I was reminded here how very much the music industry loves to capture 'everything' whether b-roll through to just letting the camera roll and roll. It's just so easy with terrabytes of footage available these days so why not try and capture those 1 in a million raw authentic moments. But pride is also a downfall and the darkest of desires comes with consequences.

This was a bea-u-tiful film. The use of light sources whether naturalistic or added through nodes in grade was quite simply stunning. It really genuinely felt like we were peaking through at a commercial music video set.

The audio was generally really good, clean, with no overplaying of sound fx or foley for the sake of it and the song for the music video itself was incredibly catchy.

But personally I struggled with the form factor. Like it doesn't make sense to me for the 'found' footage to have long held shots in certain aspects and then quick little snippets at other times. I get the shots have names and the quicker cuts are done for comedic effect, but the way its pieced together seems like someone edited the footage together for narrative effect and that just didn't quite work for me.

Your choice of course but to me I wish there was something related to the finding of the footage not just us watching it. We only get anything showing anyone had watched it at all with statement blurbs at the end of the film.

Having said that I understand the fly on the wall approach which does get you a pass mark compared to the dreaded mockumentary standard of interviews and talking heads. But similar to a few other films this year, this coming in hot approach to an established built world of characters meant I was looking for a couple of things to invest me as a viewer that I didn't quite get here.

Firstly what's the dramatic question of the film? They're trying to make a music video. Cool. But show or sell me something that makes me care about the characters. They're honestly barely defined until THAT lingering moment great costuming notwithstanding. Although the performances are strong I'll give you that.

The ending I've pondered over but ultimately it feels extremely abrupt in my opinion. The story is arguably there across the film but plays like a disjointed puzzle to be pieced together as a cohesive whole, which seems strange to me when we're watching linear ordered footage.

Anyway absolutely beautiful film I'm just not sold on the structural form.

Getting to watch a film like this is why I love 48 so much. The team have done an incredible job making something fun, unique, polished and creative within such a short amount of time. Loved every aspect. Congratulations to everyone involved, killed it!

Really enjoyed the cinematography and production design in this one and the original track is really well made. Did feel the ending was a little rushed but overall a stunning achievement in 48hrs!

You guys are so awesome and I love what you are doing. Amazing edit and such a great use of the genre, genuinely so outside that box your team should all be very proud!

Such an incredibly talented film and such a wonder to watch in the Embassy! I can’t wait to see it in the Grand Finals! Becoming an absolute obsessed fan of Pixel Pixies!! From this year and last I am so floored with the talent and comedy effect that this group possesses!! Love it!

Horror movie vibe. Unsettling. No jump scares.
