Felt a little slow at the beginning but found its feet in the third act which was hilariously over the top. Would've benefitted with some louder dialogue as some did get a little lost which I think contributed to some confusion in the beginning. Overall made me laugh out loud so well done all involved!
A fun sendup of detective and crime shows in particular CSI where the team did really well to play it straight and let the jokes become funnier and funnier as the jokes developed.
Very strong performance by your lead actor detective, who channeled his inner William Peterson very well though offered a point of difference with clear inner demons that weren't forced on us but showed through physical actions and reactions.
I love SE7EN as much as the next guy so the second act was also a nice spoof I felt as the dick jokes started coming with x-rays and Moe's Tavern type names coming into play.
The final third though was the highlight. When the titular tapping started I was in stitches and I can't remember a more one sided reaction for a film at the heats. The women quiet, the men letting out collective groans and oooohs! at the writhing in agony on the ground. Great stuff.
To elevate a little more next time whilst your lighting was really solid and locations and set were good, I would say just try and keep tonally consistent throughout. For me the place where the detective tried to crack the case did not match the quality of the locations for the rest of the film and took me out of my suspension of disblelief just a little.
