Beautiful film, song was killer. Terry is a lucky girl.

Awesome film.

Love the Lebron reference.

Another great addition from the Mahi Dogs.
Last years effort wasn't a fluke. This team knows how to create a rip roaring great time. The low budget robot was hilarious. Some killer hour which will make you want to go back and rewatch to make sure you pick it all up.
Wouldn't be surprised to see this film make it through many rounds in the comp.

An absolute banger of a film from Mahi Dogs, showing that with the right script and performance you can make any character convey empathy and connect with your audience whether they are a robot, dog or human. Crass yet tender this told a universal tale of how we all want to be loved and had one of the best endings in the comp this year.

Kicking things off with the discovery of a trashed robot with footage inside was a clever way to actually tick the box of the found footage genre requirement. I've seen this tacked on by a few films this year and it was most appreciated seeing the team just saying fuck it and full bore honing in on their strengths.

The colour grade was super smooth as well, teal popping against the red and blue wiring of the lead actor's head to make the film stand out visually.

Really strong world building also. Believable that in the future should working robots become a reality that they're not all going to be high class butlers and some might be a bit more number 8 wire bumblers.

Jokes for days, the employee of the month banners throughout the office had the audience in stitches and the fantastical toaster romance was a thing of fucking beauty.

Sound and sound design almost perfect for the most part, going full bore on a synth inspired 80s cyborg type vibe, although by nature some of the live field audio from the warehouse did sound slightly echoey.

My one criticism is also the film's biggest strength which is the ending. In your face, sudden and explosive it also felt a little bit rushed compared to the pacing of the extremely entertaining film that had come beforehand.

Overall though, great job team.
