Day Shift

A good take on the time-travel genre; time travel is paid for by rich people to fix small things that go wrong in their lives, and this film is about a time-travel company. Technically this film was of the very high standards we have come to expect from Bus of the Undead. The camera work was smooth, and the colours were consistent, but not outstanding. The sound on the whole was very good, although could have been leveled higher in some places. The story, although it has a really great premise is where we are let down a bit, although it was very nice, it felt a bit lacklustre, with no real climax or excitement. On the whole though, a very good film.

Sugar Rush

Really good for a first film. Nice fight scenes and music made it into a pretty cool action film. Some of the hand held shots were a little distracting, and the end shot voices were a little hard to hear. But overall a good film.

The Legend of Cerberus

*THIS FILM WAS IN HEAT 4* Great job guys for a first V48 film. Awesome costuming, and I must say I was impressed by the facial hair. It was quite funny, but could have been improved by louder music in the fight scene.

Scumblood

This film was quite good, a simple fantasy story and a message about liking yourself, no matter what you are. At the start we were told about loads of magical races in the world, and I was rather disappointed when we didn't meet most of them. The acting was good; but in quite a few forest scenes we couldn't see it because it was much too dark.

Agent Scott: Licence to Love

Funny little rom-com about a secret agent on a date. Nice awkward scripting, got lots of laughs from the audience. Camera on the whole was average; the outside shots were quite nice, but the interior ones were lacking lighting. Sound unfortunately was poor due to wind noise. But on the whole it was a good film earning a 6/10

Kawaka

This film start very well with the shots of nature, and the music really helped to give a feeling of tension. Nice shallow focus made it visually very appealing, and good job with lens flares. Sound unfortunately wasn't very good, with the mike peaking a huge amount when the guy tied to the tree shouted. The actress was very creepy as the psychotic ex-girlfriend. This film would have been greatly improved by some fake blood, and effects make up; the lack of blood on the scythe really annoyed a train-spotter like me. Overall an enjoyable watch - 6/10.

Tasty Pain

Wow. That pretty much sums up this film. Very funny, I see you're sticking to the crazy-weird humour that you're good with and the audience love! Hilarious story, great idea, and I must say I loved it.

Shed out of Luck

This film started off clunky and rather unnatural, which did detract from the experience, but as it developed it got better and was quite good to watch. Nice use of the found footage genre - she found footage on her phone. Nice creepy setting, but the acting seemed a bit stilted. Nice poke at One Direction, got lots of laughter.

Chastity Kills Men

A fairly creepy erotic thriller, and I suppose that was to be expected - not that that's a bad thing. Sadomasochist themes made it slightly odd to watch, but also rather funny. Nice shots, sound was many okay, but had some peaking. Overall a good - if strange - film.

The Author

This film was based around a play on the genre - an editor and an author talking about the end of a book called "The World". The camera work had a lot of variety, with some very dynamic shots and some static. Sound was also fine. I didn't entirely get the point of the interspersion of shots of the guy getting ready in the morning - although it might have been to do with one of the final lines about the ending making you think, which it did. A nice solid, and quirky effort.

The Timekeeper

A fairly basic fantasy adventure, based around time stopped. The story was quite simple, but also conformed well to the fantasy genre. Nice shots, and sound. Good work on how the stop in time was shown, it worked well. Also good opening with the chase scene.

False Profit

A musical about a fortune teller who is going out of business because he tells people the ugly truth. The story was pretty good, and very funny in some parts. The cinematography was alright, and the sound leveling was a bit off in some parts, as well as a few minor sync issues. The music was pretty good and fitted the story well, especially the ukulele song.
