The title Phoneomenon is a pun, it is similar to the word phenomenon, meaning a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question, but the start of the word is actually spelt to say 'phone.' This is a pun because the film is about phones. I thought it was pretty funny myself.
