Bus of the undead are back with another absolute stunner. The concept and execution are spot on. The story reveals itself at a perfect pace with unexpected turns and hilarious moments from opening to ending... I think there's going to be many people remembering "funedin" for a long time:)

A heartfelt and maturely told short. Im not normally a fan of the board-game films as they feel a dime a dozen... this one however managed to do what most fail to do and use the board game purposefully as well as subverting the usual "board game tears us apart" trope. Great work.

My only gripe is it felt close to last years jovial offering which was so elevated its hard not to compare it to that one - yes I understand there's large differences, but did have a similar set-up.

That said... There are details you'll pick up on a second watch that show this is well crafted and well thought out. Making a film with a more serious tone is also to be commended. Tight story, clear characters/relationships between characters. Cathartic ending. Great work all.

Brilliant!!! Absolutely creepy and atmospheric in the best way. It makes you feel (not necessarily a comfortable feeling) from frame one to the final frame. Incredible work on the SFX. Lump is a disgustingly great wee creation!!!

This is a great film with a well thought out story. Interestingly there were two teams this year with the same idea of man-vs-toaster, the other one being "Burnt" in the Christchurch region, and honestly "Toast" is by far the better film purely because the story is more comprehensively thought out. Worth watching and comparing.

The only negative for me was the sexual reference with hands in the toaster. Honestly, and others will no doubt disagree, but for me it just seemed gross and detracted from the film. Importantly, it also meant I didn't show the film to the children - including references like this limits the potential audience. This one joke is the only reason the film needs to have a higher age rating. In my personal opinion it would have been a stronger film with a broader potential audience if a different idea had been used for this one joke. But that's just me.

The rest of the humour of the film was brilliant. And I really loved the team's award acceptance video, going through all the same "stages" as the film. This team has excellent writers, and you're hilarious. Looking forward to more from this team.

I've just updated our youtube file to exclude our credits so my children's names are left offline etc :) Unfortunately I can't replace the file there with a new version that has different credits. But I've written the credits here, too, under the video :)

Enjoyed this one, it's one of those comedies that goes in a direction you don't really expect, even though it's a 48 short, so you probably should expect it to go in that direction. The delivery of the actors worked well, although I guess the ending could've been a little clearer as to what happened.

It's a fun, quirky animation with fun songs that takes on the race against the clock in an interesting way. I have watched the short a few times now, and it's been enjoyable every time.

RS have delivered a light hearted comedy based around a firmilar concept. A guy is about to get married but disaster strikes at the end of the stag night. They've got to get his custom pants cleaned and his wedding ring which has been swallowed before the wedding. I thought this one was a big step up from their last film as it was much more focused and consistend with the story telling. There is also some really nice shooting. Perhaps the gross out humor won't be for everyone but it's the 48 hours so you have to expect that sort of thing.

Well! We tried to upload our film as finalists across Aotearoa, but the film violates YouTube’s terms of service 😂
