Bloody Brilliant!

Excellent effort. Great sound. Nice character moments. Intrigue maintained throughout. Predictable ending but a nice twist with the ak47. Sweet!

WOW! Easily the winner of the heat by a country mile! Very professionally filmed and edited with some great characters, witty humour and great sound. Dialogue was minimal but punchy. Clever use of elements - good ex-bully angle, and the use of the line was very funny. Well done guys. See you in the finals!

Nice work guys great use of tension to build intensity. Great acting by the guy with the box. Nicely shot as well. All in all, a great little short.

Good set design, nice and polished technically. Ending a bit predictable, but overall well done. Convincing acting all round, especially the secretary who provided great comic relief.

Very well shot, edited and acted. The ending was a bit of a let down, given all the build up. Well executed, good stuff.

Brilliant film, very clever use of line. Music was very good also. Got my 3 point vote & will definitely see this in the finals

Loved this film! Really awesome idea for a one room genre! All played out so well! Well done to everyone!!!

My pick for best film of the heat. Good opening title and great camera work. Clever choice of waiting room as one room. Good choice of music (presumably not original). Very well received by audience, probably due to simpleness of plot which was intriguing til the end. Very good freeze frame.

Slick filming, great use of timelapse, loved the main character Story simple clear, bit boring, ending a let down, Didn't the one room genre had to incorporate another from the list? Defently one of the best from heat 01 but will have hard time in finals I assume. Great job guys look forward to seining next years entry already

Nicely done! I really enjoyed this film as did most of the audience I assume. The shots and colours were awesome and it was so slick! The acting got a big thumbs up from me and the characters really made the film.

A busy little medical centre plays host to a colourful collection of patients who come and go - all except for one gentleman who calmly waits with a mysterious box on his lap. Nicely shot and lit, good sound and a one-room/revenge story that played out well even if the constant "What have you got?" got a little tedious. Probably the slickest film in the heat from these first-timers. The audience certainly enjoyed it even if the twist ending was predictable. Winner of Audience Favourite in this heat.

This was a surprise after the first few movies set an amateurish tone. This was slick, incredibly well filmed, great editing and fantastic acting from the lead character who does nothing but sit there through most of the film...less is more.... I love the receptionist with the comic relief and also the predictable but then surprising finish. The elements were all there and obvious..the wire..the line of dialogue was actually said by almost every character, (nice touch) ...great location...very convincing. I would think this would be a definite finals contender...I don't remember them from last year?

More cool titles. In a doctor's waiting room, an emotionless man waits with a box (secured with bent wire) in his lap, while other patients pass through and a ditzy secretary casts a slack eye over proceedings. Each new arrival wants to know: "What have YOU got?" (Probably one of the better uses of this very ordinary line we have this year I saw this evening). A nifty time lapse sequence and a great (all visual) gag about computer downtime occur before we learn that the doctor is Bobby Young, and the emotionless man has a surprise for him. The surprise is one that the audience has mostly already guessed, I suspect, but I think few guessed the secretary's reaction to it. As others have noted, this is a slick film, but for me it felt like perhaps a little bit of style over substance (why does our revenger wait for the doctor to come out? Just because it's the waiting room?). If the story was perhaps a bit simple, though, it WAS well told, and I'd expect to see this in the finals.

One Room genre with the Bully featured, set in a Doctors waiting room. I liked this one....well shot, great sound, great music and all edited nicely. A word play on the title Patience was well presented throughout the movie, patients in the waiting room, patience for the calm man waiting all day, the receptionist playing patience/solitaire.. I liked it...definitely the slickest presentation of all Heat One...

Very humorous and simple concept. :D

Slickly done story with a simple set-up. The timelapse pieces looked great. I thought the lack of dialogue was a strength for this film as the images tell the story. Nice twist from the Bad Girl secretary at the end. This was my pick for a 3

This one established quite well actually. It had some nice moments visually, and kept me interested. The actors repeated one-liners were a little unimaginative in terms of the use of the compulsory dialogue, but the lead was very enigmatic & solid in his role. I was disappointed when they pulled the cliche ending, probably will harm this films chances. Or maybe not. Nice originality for the most part.
