That is a wrap!
Posted 20th August 2025
That was an absolutely mind-blowing weekend teams! Thank you for participating in our 22nd-year of 48Hours in Aotearoa!
We absolutely loved seeing all of your photos and behind the scenes moments this year, and are looking forward to seeing your films. Thank you so much for all of your hard work!
Highs and lows
It has been an eventful shoot weekend this year. Feel free to share any of your experiences and have a chat about how the weekend went for you on our Facebook group or tag us on Instagram @48hoursnz.
Submit all of your behind the scenes photos to our Digital Pigeon link here. Photos may be used for publicity of 48Hours competition and to help us find funders and sponsors. Please add credits in the title of your photos that you submit.
Did you make it?
You should have received a confirmation that your film has been uploaded from Digital Pigeon.
Your regional manager will be checking all entries and will be in touch if there are any issues that might mean your film is disqualified. This may be for being late, missing required elements or being too long. Please note that we do accept late entries for a limited time after submissions close so that they can still screen in the heats. Check in with your regional manager.
Disqualified entries
If your film is disqualified this year, do not fret! Your film will still be screened in the Heats and you are now eligible for the Best Disqualified Film Award.
Posting your film online
Please don’t post your film publicly online anywhere yet. Films will all be screened in Heats and maybe even Finals too! You can upload them with a password ready to make public once your film is out of competition.
Screening room and reviews
Our Screening Room is where other people can write reviews about your film. You should make sure you get your film (with a password on it) up on the Screening Room before the heats begin.
You can remove the password once your film is out of competition, but hopefully that will be a while if you do well and you’ll want reviews in the meantime.
Here is all of the info about uploading to the screening room: https://www.48hours.co.nz/heats/reviews/
