Brilliant you are Sensei, now he’s forever with you!
Very funny and entertaining
That Johnny Fin guy was awesome!! A lot like Kill Bill
''They're not gonna poison my poisson, without getting their asses kicked.'' PEAK!!!
El Plastico has a really really cool moustache
Your team name is 10/10. How long since last sleep question
Static sound in background was quite intense when there was no music.
"What the flipper" was great
The middle of the film, the fight scene, was a bit long
Cinematography by the lake was amazing
Thanks for the feedback, it was our first time doing 48hours and we had lots of fun but realised afterwards we should have put a bit more focus on using our time wisely.
Enjoyed how everyone had really small weapons. Its a shame you got the DQ, great watch
I was very excited to see "eighties action" revealed as a genre (and disappointed that my team didn't get it!).
Anyway, this team's use of the genre was EXCELLENT! The costuming, acting and music were on point.
I started off, hating the repeating poorly-comped explosion effect but grew to love it by the end.
I also must praise the team for some very creative and interesting blocking in the scene where the big bad talks to his goons.
Now time for some criticism:
This NEEDS to be cut down.
There's probably 3 minutes worth of action/plot in this. But almost every shot is 3 times longer than it should be. Keep the energy up! Keep the action fast! Keep within the competition's 5-minute time limit!
Thanks for your feedback!
The poorly comped explosion was VERY deliberate. From this ideas conception we thought, what if we had a cruddy green screen explosion every time he said a quippy one-liner.
The blocking was NOT deliberate, we're glad you liked it :)
It was unnecessarily long but that's something we can work on next time.
Thanks team! I enjoyed this. Well done on your first 48Hours! Reminds me of some of our earlier pieces, and some of our newer ones. I totally relate to the gun flare tracking and explosion crop.
I look forward to seeing your team evolve and increasing your production value.
Keep refining and pushing the limit!
JJ
