Harper has an Axe

Amongst the strongest films, visually, of the Heat. Clunky, rough, inserted dialogue from the older male detracted this fine atmospheric piece. Never in a hurry to get to the blood letting, tension was made and used well. Framing of many of the shots was superb, a derelict house made for suspenseful, controlled action delivery. The killing was sly, wicked and brutal, Hitchcockinan even. The ending deflated some of this fine tension though.
