i think the music is very catchy and well written, this was my 2nd favorite of the night well done guys

This was a great film with a catchy tune and a sweet story. I esp loved it when all the characters were singing together in a Brady Bunch intro kind of a way... really cool. One of my favourite films from all 5 heats with high production value. There was only one time when everyone was singing and I couldn't understand what they were saying, but regardless this still stood out as one of the best films of the night.Well done for pulling off one of the hardest and most feared genres... the musical.

Musical, you got a love that one, but done very well with an extremely sweet story

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, The lighting was very well done, I like how it changed to such a warm style of lighting when the music was playing and then a cold colour when they were talking. The cinematography was well executed and gave a real professional feeling, particularly the crane shot at the end in Arrowtown. The overall story was a cool idea. Your singers were talented and they all came across well. Well done for pulling through with such a difficult genre! This film definitely got my vote!

Nice work with a tricky genre. The song really carried the film nicely (always handy having some good singers in the team!). Some slick editing and I thought your jib shot was a nice touch at the end. Maybe a bit too long, felt one section in the middle was jarring and un-neccessary, but other than that a really solid effort. Looking forward to seeing what you do next year.

Nice - probably one of the better musicals. Very good concept here which was for the most part carried out well. Personally I found the split screen a little jarring, and perhaps something more belonging in a music video, but I respect the artistic decision. I couldn't understand the lyrics for a few of the maladies which was a pity as the ones I did hear were very well written. In any case the texture that we ended up with was very effective. Being a musical it is good that you were able to write some really nice music for it. Production standards were high throughout, and acting was solid. The final male lead possibly didn't have as strong a voice as some of the others. As sadly demonstrated by the efforts of Russel Crowe in Les Miserables who acted Javert very well yet had a quite a weak voice, sometimes in musicals it may be wiser to teach singers how to act, than to teach actors how to sing. Nevertheless, this is a feared genre, and you did an excellent job, so well done.
