This film was really scary. Like, you nailed that. Great performances by the kids too. A really solid concept turning hide and seek into a horror, I just wish the film had a stronger ending. On the whole a really great effort!

This was a great little take on a horror film. The use of hide and seek made for some truly spooky thrills. Exciting concept although it could have been just that bit more amazing if there was a bit more coherence to it, particularly at the ending. It just somehow didn't quite tie together as well as it could have, but still an exciting concept and one of the stronger movies in the heat.

Video: 3.5/5 Audio: 2/5 (in some places the music score and picture seemed to be off..) Story: 2.5/5 (the ending somewhat gave an all round closure..) Overall: 4/5 (this is from the horror fan in me) I simply loved this aesthetic. This statement is an automatic bias, since their asian cast and style of shooting a 'horror genre' immediately reminded me of all my horror favourites. From the Japanese horror style 'The Ring' to 'The Grudge' and everything in between, they hit the spot of that particular horror feel. A simple hide-and-seek gone wrong. The child talents were well done, the mother? or nanny? figure was a great crowd-pleaser, frightening us with sudden tempo breaks and screams. The cinematography was excellent, I think they altered the image heavily in post, but the overall raw aesthetic fit the mood and audiences got it. I haven't seen this team before, but I think they knew exactly what they were doing in this genre. However... a very unfortunate ending. I still don't get the story completely. It somewhat confused me but also filled some gaps in some areas.. perhaps I'm not alone in this, but it would be interesting to see a director's cut or commentary?

Certainly got the audience attention with the typical japanese style horror theme. It wrapped up rather suddenly and left me slightly confused by the ending but great acting from the kids.

I thought this film covered the horror genre really well and had some good scary moments in it. Kids are hiding and the mother comes to find them, but not in a good way. I spoke with the other reviewers and we seemed to have different ideas about who was doing the killing of the children, I thought it was the mother but they thought something different so this could be something for this team to work on in the future but it was a well made movie that I enjoyed.

Nicely Done Already explained my thoughts personally but again, try to finish strong next time :) Video 4/5 Audio 3.5/5 Story 3/5

Great idea to work the story around hide and seek. Very well shot with strong atmosphere and good direction creating some genuinely scary moments. Nicely put together as well. Unfortunately as others have said the story fell over toward the end, I'm not really sure what actually happened and how it all tied together? Up until then though it was looking like a contender in the heat.

Some of the creepiest moments I've seen in this competition! Good use of the sound and time ramps to get your heart pumping, and those were some pretty cool credits haha. Seems like the team is still experimenting with what works in camera and editing but didn't take too much away from the story.
