A solidly thought-out superhero film from a frontrunner for Best Teen Team. The protagonist Richard was a superhero in his own mind, but came across as a dick to others. He eventually discovers that his over-enthusiasm can sometimes be helpful as he helps someone unlock their car. The technical elements were largely solid with a few hiccups here and there in the sound and editing. The comedy came across well, but the acting was stilted in places. A funny subversion of the superhero genre.

To me this film was a bit of a mix between kick ass and boy which worked really well and I was very impressed! The main male actor was awesome and did a really good job with his performance. Some very funny moments which the audience responded really well to! The use of the line was clever and overall a very well put together film. Awesome!

Teenage Richard sees himself as a super-hero but just doesn't seem able to realise that he doesn't have special powers. He's not helped by his layabout mates who constantly remind him that he's not special and is instead, well, a bit of dick. Eventually, Richard starts to appreciate that while he might not have special powers, he does have the ability to help people in everyday situations eg unlocking a car where the keys are inside). With this realisation, Richard is in a better place mentally which leads to a nice comical ending. Finally a High School team (they're not in the teen category as a few of them are 18) who came up with a story and cast it appropriately which makes a world of difference (You really DID listen to me!). Some good camera work and some rougher stuff - the 550d was a good choice though! Editing was rough also at times but was largely forgiveable. Audio was a bit variable at times but the voiceover worked well and the lead's acting was spot on (What was Tai worried about?!) When all is said and done you've made a good film, that has a nice character arc and was very well received by the audience. You've made me proud. Great film, well done Lincoln YR13's . Very funny right the way through. Should be very proud of what you have produced here. Audio and visual could use a little work, but keep up the great work guys! Great finish to the film - had the audience all the way!

Definitely can see the influences of Boy and Kick Ass. I solid film with a clear story line filled with humor and predictability. Minor editing issues with a couple of scene transitions. Simple camera work worked well and the tree branch snapping shot was very cool. A great effort and certainly a feel good audience hit, just very unoriginal. Look forward to seeing more ambitious fare next time. What will your team be called? ;)

Very cute, but a clear knock off of other films (especially 'boy'). Good effort and VERY likeable characters, though a bit obvious and stereotypical. Lots of shots were well constructed, and the sound was relatively good, I can see how this won audience favourite...likeable.

Clear audience favourite but I swear I just watched boy. Liked the idea but quite predictable. Superb effort from a bunch of teens though!! Really hope to see what they can come up with in the future (maybe their own ideas eh?)

Gaah, Wish you guys were all under 18 because you would have CLEANED-UP in the Teen catagory. However an incredibly solid entry by the Lincoln Year 13s this year. Cinematography was pretty decent, brilliant use of the manual focus in the final shot! Acting and Comedy were great too. Nice use of your surroundings (You guys didn't move more than 50 meters from the house all weekend did you) Loved the shot on the tracks.. ending payed off pretty well too. Well Done guys looking forward to doing battle with you again next year!

A nerdy, unpopular kid (Richard) thinks - no, KNOWS - that he is a superhero. His friend Bobby Young documents his "heroic" exploits on video, but the cool kids are not impressed by what seem like his self-delusions as he demos his "powers". Even Bobby Young eventually abandons him and returns to his bullying ways. But to hell with 'em all, Richard knows what he is and rediscovers his self-confidence by helping out a stranger (using a bent wire after she locks herself out of her car), and confirms it with an awesome use of the required line (followed by a nice little sting in the tail afterwards). A really neat little snapshot of a character, shot through with humour but also surprisingly earnest in the end, with a use of the line that seemed to have the audience murmuring in approval. Great work to create an interesting, relatable character and have him go through a real journey in seven minutes - that's a real accomplishment in the competition. With some technical improvement as you go on you guys could become a real force in the competition.
