Modern Daddiez

A nice little short about a couple at a folkrum in their relationship. The look of the film was pretty straightforward, doing what it needed to do to tell the story. I suppose for a family film it could've popped a little more, but it's not the end of the world or anything. The colors bring a sort of somber tone, which continues into the restrained mix of the sound. Voices are clear, and the slight reverb of the room brings some realism to the short. Both actors have strong delivery as well; they do a great job of making all the dialogue grounded in reality.

The longing in the eyes of the actor begging to adopt was so very passionately longing. And the actor playing across from him had an amazing outfit, great tights. I love those videos that float around the internet of people's Dads becoming very doting pet parents after fighting so hard not to get one, and this captured that perfectly. Thank you, too, for how long we got cat cuddles at the end. It wasn't just cats, credits. It was decent snugs, one even being held like a baby!

I loved this quirky little short film. It is well written and acted with both subtle and not so subtle humour woven in. The cute twist at the end is a highlight. Well done to everyone who worked on this project.
