Teddy Bear Repair

Our sympathetic lead devotes his time to rescuing and repairing the damaged soft toys of the world. It was charming and likable, right up until the moment you shoved your fingers up the @#$e of the elephant during the autopsy and pulled them out covered in ... (***insert sheep shagger joke here***) That was just gross and completely out of character with what had happened up to that point. Watch out for things in the backgrounds that shouldn't be there, like posters of the Wizard of Oz and Wolverine X-Men, or Minion toys from Despicable Me. It could have been a contender, but it didn't really deliver on the actual Revenge aspect of the genre and drifted off a bit at the end instead of finishing with something memorable.

Excellent concept, and started out as a cute story but quickly descended into toilet humour complete with sticky fingers (and worse). Could have been handled better with a 'cleaner' script, and the build up was all in anticipation of the 'revenge', which was a genre that never really eventuated.

This was a well shot, well directed mockumentary style revenge film. It was genuinely funny. It had me at the beginning, it even had me at the bit where he found what was inside the elephant Teddy, but it lost me completely at the end. Making a rape joke is not a good idea for your film (or ever). Having the main character we're supposed to sympathise with head off to rape another character *with zero implied consequences*? Come on guys, don't do that. Even if you think it's funny, next time consider that jokes like that can make portions of your audiences think a lot less of a film. Genuinely funny film about a vigilante who seeks vengeance on those who wrong teddies. Filmed in a mockumentary style the camera/directing and editing were the most accomplished of the heat. The pace was kept very fast making for an engaging and entertaining film. Lead actor held the film well. Finger scene was disgusting but hilarious. As a female I wasn't offended by the end scene at all. This is clearly a black comedy about vigilante justice. Above reviews seem to have confused the issues here and disregarded the film totally on those pretences.
