My favourite by far. The quality acting convincingly captured the tortured soul and the story very real for missing often that which is right in front of you. The ending left me wondering what am I missing? Are there those in my life needing extra effort? Technically, the shots are intriguing and evocative and I especially liked the use of the prop. It was also good to see real people with real issue and depth of character. Very, well done!

Dark, sexy, well shot and well acted. I'm not sure if I'd class this as a thriller, but for a very difficult genre it wasn't far off fitting the bill. This is one of those serious films that shows comedy isn't always the key to a good short.

A really good dramatic short (and the best erotic thriller I have seen so far) which shows a man confessing to a video camera about why he is about to commit suicide. I really liked Goodbye Gilbert last year and my only criticism of this short is that I felt it was treading relatively similar thematic ground to Goodbye Gilbert. Apart from that, I really liked the way the narrative unfolded through an in media res voice-over which parceled out information at just the right time to continually emotionally involve the audience. Also liked how you set up the routine of him getting coffee at work simultaneously with the routine of him having sex with the prostitute at night so that the final reveal of the film sank in more effectively. All of the technical elements of the short were excellent, but I wouldn't expect anything less from last years winner of the sexiest short award. My favourite technical element was the editing, which I felt was fantastic in the way that it combined the visuals and the voice-over (in particular the days of the week edit was very effective). Also I really liked the acting from the lead as the entire film really hinged on his delivery of the voice-over and he nailed it. The elements were all used well, overall a really good short which demonstrates that you don't need the whole 7 minutes to create a quality short.
