Ultra 48 Element Questions

Hello!

Quick questions - if we were to include footage from our previous film (the one we're doing a sequel of), and that footage included that year's elements, would that be considering including those elements in the current film?

Additionally, if the film is the THIRD in a trilogy does this still count as a sequel of the first one? We reckon it does, but want to check.

Cheers,
Becca

I also have a question
1: can you make a sequel to a disqualified film
2: are prequels sequels, totally right?

Prequels are definitely out. Says it on the Ultra page.

But I also have a question: If you are using previous footage, do you need new release forms again for the actors or does the fact they were in 48 hours count?

My first 2 films were done as Sakura Productions but we're Team Spielberg now. Do we have to pick only a Team Spielberg film or can I go way back to say my first 48 hours film even though we were called Sakura Productions.

Becca: yes on previous footage counting IMO. Yes on third films counting. It's still a sequel.

Joseph: Yes to sequelising DQed films, no to prequels. We all saw what they did to Peter Jackson.

DogsBreakfast: our release forms this year say "in perpetuity" - not sure what previous years' said, but I'd say it's fine.

CraigWB: That's fine.

Thanks Ruth -

Follow up question, the film we are looking to make a sequel of, at the time all forms etc were handed in with the film, rather than us keeping them. Can we still use the footage, because we presume they are in Ant's secret film lock up somewhere? It was 10 years ago that we did it.

In 2011 if you got One Room but also pick one of the other genres, does that mean I have to do 3 Genres? Like a Thriller One Room Mystery film.

I don't believe you have to use the genre, just the compulsory elements. But I would love to see a Thriller One-Room Mystery film, plus Ant did say to be daring This year :)

You do not have to use the genre from your original film - just the elements. (But you can if you want.)

And obviously use your genre+theme and elements from this year.
