Reviews?

Looks like the reviews site is down for 2016 films, and with the way things have gone this year I'm not too hopeful that it'll be up soon enough to get many reviews!
Is there enough interest in creating a reviews thread here, in the (mostly dead, but starting to revive) forum?
I hope at the very least MistaTeas will be posting his annual Chch reviews!

The page says it is suffering server issues and will be up soon.
Methinks some clever people are fixing it.

I can't see any harm in posting reviews here in the meantime, at least then you can copy paste them later. Its best to write them while they are still fresh, I went to every Auckland heat one year but only posted a small amount of reviews because I didn't get around to it quickly enough - its my greatest regret in life.

TOMORROW TODAY

Totally agree. From my experience, most reviews are written in the couple of days after the heats and then again after they are posted in the screening room.

This is a bit silly. If the website isn't fixed by tonight, no one is gonna bother to review the first heats' films. Do we know it's actively being worked on now?

Yeah - it's going to be pretty gutting to miss out on feedback - that's always the most valuable part of the experience.

Yup, sure will. Lots of strong films last night. Heat 3 had many, many dark turns which was kind of interesting.

Rowan Strang was at all three CHCH heats as well so I'm sure he'll be reviewing again.

The 2016 tab has been added since this morning, but the navigation still seems broken. Anybody getting anything different?

Hi everyone, reviews should be all good now. We had a rather severe problem with our old hosting provider yesterday (real great timing I know...) so I've spent the last 48 hours urgently migrating everything (this hit every site I maintain, not just the 48reviews) over to a totally new provider. I've just finished importing all the 2016 films, so should be all engines go now. Also, it should be lovely and fast compared to previous years as we're now on some seriously beefy hardware.

Sorry guys, will be posting on FB shortly encouraging teams to make use of it.

Hey Nick, when I looked before heading out of the office it was just a Drupal install screen so well done and thanks for getting it up so quickly.

Yep review site looks all good now. Have been told I am allowed to review Wellington even though I'm judging this year as only 1 voice so will be trying my best to put some up :)
