I reckon if you've got someone who can compose music, and you have a spot to put a song in, then you should do it, then when you eventually do get musical it won't be nearly so frightening.
This is pretty sound advice (pardon the pun), and we're glad we had a go this year for the fun of it even though we didn't have to, haha. Our main problem is that I'm the only techie in the team, everyone else is ideas and actors, so I was already writer, camera, director, editor... And then I was the only musical one too so I had to compose the songs as well, haha.
Bit of a masochistic endeavor but now I'll be quite happy if we get musical again, I just really need to find some people who can do other technical things, or practice my crafts more often so I can get faster. More likely the latter because I do enjoy having full control of the process as I don't need to get creative ideas across to anyone else so my storyboards can be squiggles :P. I guess you get used to it when you've been a duo team for a while then just add some actors!
