I had this problem last year but have accidentally done it again: Any way to remove uploaded films? For some reason my one has gone up twice (again) and I don't know how to remove it.
While I might enjoy the extra publicity, it is unfair to the other 1000+ teams.
Any help is much appreciated!

Screening Room is broken. :( And was the report flag always there? Didn't notice this before but I like it.

I think it's all calmed down now that it's all over. I suspect a lot of people rushed to put up their films immediately after the TV final and it caused a bit of a jam. I didn't get my film in the screening room until earlier today but I seem to have gotten at least 1 review.

Am I wrong in noticing that the most recently uploaded films are displayed at the top? So really, everybody rushed for that prime Screening Room spot right at the bottom of 1000 films.

Just checking, is there a way to set it up so that you get an email notification when a new review for your film gets posted? This was an option with the old reviews site, and it was awfully handy. Ness, if it's not currently a feature, how easy or hard would it be to implement?

Well, you can still get to it: Old site
All the old reviews are showing under older films in the screening room.
But, yes. Looks like reviewing before films are uploaded is a thing of the past which as others have mentioned will create a bit of void inbetween screenings and announcements. For me, it will probably mean I no longer bother attending screenings outside the one for my own entry. Certainly not going to post reviews in the forum.

But not being able to review until way after the heats it's insanely stupid

Hey, sorry that's not really intentional - you'll notice that the homepage of reviews.48hours.co.nz redirects to the new system, I've only left direct links to films (and as a result that 2019 landing page) live during the transition. That will be going away in the near future, either when Cactus retires/removes the reviews.48hours subdomain or when I pull the plug.

So just to be clear, are you saying that once this transitional period is finished, all of the pre-2020 reviews will be lost? And if so, is there a way to export the data before that happens? There are a certainly a few reviews that I've both written and received that I wouldn't mind retaining a copy of.

I hope not! I've got 1000+ reviews in there. They are in the new Screening Room though under each film from previous years, so I imagine they are staying? I wish my count was still accurate though.
As a bonus you can go back now and review, old, old, old films.

All reviews up to 2011 (2010 was handled quite differently and it's just too difficult to bring over - also holy crap I've been doing this for 10 years??) have been exported over to 48/Cactus to bring into the new system. They should all be visible in the screening room, but I guess if the film was never uploaded they're not accessible? I'm not involved in the new system so not sure how that works.
I'd probably recommend making a copy of your reviewer page at https://reviews.48hours.co.nz/users/the-nimble-marmoset to ensure you don't lose anything.

Hey all, lots of great notes about the screening room. As I
am sure Nick will testify, web development is complex and even a simple change can add up to a lot of $. We are lucky that Nick donated so much of his time over the years for very little or no cost. Thanks Nick - you are a hero.
Now that we have consolidated the reviews and screening room together we will be allowing for additional changes and updates in each competition cycle, so will be keeping a running list of updates that we will look to implement over time. We'll keep an eye on your comments about this.
The biggest issue that you have all bought up is that currently the film needs to be uploaded before a review can be written. For this mini challenge that hasn't mattered as we haven't had the traditional heats process. We know that we will need to consider how this will work with the main competition and how we work that is on our minds. But we will solve that later.
As we see how the Covid-19 situation develops we may still need to make changes to the main competition - unless the ban on large gatherings is lifted it won't be possible to run things as they have in the past. But now that you all have your fix we can wait and see what happens before planning the main one.

Was 2010 back when it was a grey forum, or am I remembering something completely different?

Couple of suggestions: 1) a way to respond to /thank reviewers. Even if it was just one bubble to the side! (Mentioned before I know); 2) Unless I'm missing something I wish I could edit my reviews.

I've noticed that one of the screening room films that was attached to my account has now disappeared? It's still in the screening room just not showing under my account anymore.
