Camera/ Lighting Rental Houses Auckland

It would be good to get a little database going for rental houses in (my city) Auckland. I haven't heard of any specific deals going this time around. Maybe someone can enlighten us?

My friend works at White Studios and they have a pretty decent range of DSLR camera gear plus accessories and lighting: www.whitestudios.co.nz

A to Z Technologies also rent gear at reasonable prices: http://www.audio2vizual.co.nz/

And of course there's Rocket Rentals: http://www.rocketrentals.com/ Seems they have the Sony F3 now, but at 400 bucks a day without lenses it ain't cheap!

Looks like Niche Cameras: http://www.nichecameras.co.nz/ is on board as a V48Hours, so I'm going to give them a try. Still not 100% what we're going to shoot on, considering the AF102.

Rented from White before, they're great- there's also Kingsize Studios for DSLRs and other stuff, PLS for lighting kit, and of course Panavision if you're after some high end stuff.

We definitely recommend Niche Cameras. Its his first year onboard and we want to send him a 48 message of love. So drop him a line.

You could also talk to Michael Zahn at NZ Camera Hire, he has a good range of well maintained camera gear and is a really lovely guy to deal with as well. www.nzcamerahire.co.nz

Also, on a more personal, note I'm selling my old audio mixer at the moment. A great little addition to a DSLR kit. It's on trademe for $1 reserve, if that's helpful check it out. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=375335283&ed=true

Cheers,

Alex

Yeah, I replaced it with a Shure FP33 3 channel mixer. Which has a few features that the Azden doesn't have.

Just throwing my hat into the ring, and this seemed like the appropriate thread - We run Seed Cine Hire, a small hire company based in Titirangi, West Auckland with a decent selection of gear.

This year we're giving a 25% discount to V48HOURS participants off of our day rates in exchange for an end of film logo credit as an equipment provider.

Check out our rate card here: http://cinehire.co.nz/ratecard.html

We're more than happy to give advice and quotes. Contact details are on the site -- have a good one everyone.

We have in the past, but currently don't. This will change in the near future, just not in time for V48HOURS unfortunately.

Hi guys, I just came across this thread and though it would be appropriate to spread the word about Topic Rentals.

We are located in Newton / Kingsland and mainly stock pro DSLR cameras / lenses which also include HDSLR. Also have Redrock or Zacuto rigs, marshall monitors... I think the swit LED light would come in handy for the v48hours

For a list of what we stock and prices check it out at
