Auckland Finals prediction

Anyone got any thoughts? Here are a few I'm expecting to see (though I missed a lot of heats this year)

I'm expecting to see the following:
Eggspiry Day - Crankleskank
Polyphony - Hybrid Motion Pictures
Broken Record - Sideways Productions
Trust - Red Delicious Films
If you can get blood - Shoestring
Dead End Job - Mukpuddy

One or two others that I really liked:
Frauleins oh Frauleins - I am Ball
Steve - Egg Hut
What a Guy! - Daguerreotype
Ballsed Up - Une

There was also that one about the door to door religion guy but I don't remember what it was called or which heat it was in :(

I also found there were a lot of VERY short shorts this year which I absolutely loved! Huzzah for the micro-short.

Wow that'd be a hell of a crowd to be included in, I hope the judges agree as we really love our short this year. :D

I also found there were a lot of VERY short shorts this year which I absolutely loved!

Couldn't agree more. There should be more shorts under 2 or 3 minutes. Too many run right up to the 7 minute mark. Even a bad idea can be fun if it's snappy, and hardly any shorts are snappy.

Frauleins, oh frauleins

So right, some 7 minute films can feel like a lot longer.

Turns out I was thinking of Hand of God - One Tree Hill Films
And apologies, apparently Red Delicious was DQ'd? I'd forgotten. It was a good film.

Sorry Craig, didn't see it this year.

I'll be happy to do reviews for anyone who specifically asks for one (once it's in the screening room if I wasn't at your heat). At the moment I'm going through the heats I did see and filling in the gaps for those who got no reviews.

I only saw the following heats this year as the Crystal Palace a difficult venue for me, so apologies to anyone who made an awesome film that I didn't mention:
Heat 5
Heat 6
Heat 8
Heat 11
Heat 13
Heat 14
Heat 15
Heat 19

Anyone else got opinions for finalists?

Craig - can you help me out.

I want to review all the films at our heat (Akl - 17). But much like the rest of the comp, being in April left me poorly prepared, and I didn't take any notes at the screening.

I've whipped up a quick shared doc. Between the two of us, can we write a 'one liner' on each film. That should help jog my memory enough to get the reviews going.

(I do remember yours, it's the others I want a hand in).
