Congrats to everyone, it was great to see the films in a proper theatre, and a really good crowd turned out. Big congratulations to the audience favourites from each heat, well done!

Note: to ensure fairness, the counting of votes was supervised by other teams following the last heat.

Also note: a USB stick was found in the theatre after the final heat. If it's yours, email me a description and we can work out how to get it back to you (or pick it up at tomorrow night's heats).

Thanks for looking after our heat (whoever did it, I don't know your name sorry). We're super stoked to get audience favourite. After 7 years of doing this, it's great to get a bit of recognition! :D

Bring on the finals!

Thanks for the running of the Heats Jake, speaking from experience it can be a long draining process and you did a great job MCing.

And thanks to those who voted for us in Heat 1 - second place makes me happy considering how many great films there were on show over the night.

Also Hamiltonians - get off your apathetic asses and review the films - it's a great way for us film makers to get an idea on how to improve what we do.

I believe the films for the most part have a shelf life of about 24 hours in relation to recieving reviews, once this time runs out the likelyhood of teams recieving well written and helpful reviews falls to almost zero.

Some finalist films may get the odd one here or there, this is a shame and i sincerley hope from the bottom of my heart that i am proven wrong.

Agreed, it would be nice if more people made an effort, but I doubt much will happen now that the heats are over.

I agree too. Often, once all the films are uploaded to the screening room another influx of reviews occurs. Much easier to do from there!

just having a bit of a dig. I think the reviews are actually a really important part of the competition, especially for those who don't get through to the city finals. Some constructive criticism can help out for next year.
