I am shocked to see the dismissal of a handful of legitimately brilliant films from the CHCH finals in favour of an Outwits film that had no story, was shoddily filmed, basically had everything riding on the "reverse" gimmick and was quite frankly...boring.

I have to say, I suggested that Outwits could pick up a wildcard when prompted about CHCH finalists!

It might have its limitations, but it is rather clever, is different, and even though I didn't persoanlly enjoy it as much the second time around, I can see why it was chosen.

Congrats & good luck to them I say - they always deliver something that makes you smile!

Hey Goodfellas, is that FOUR wildcards for you guys now? Ant, can we do some kind of World Cup thing whereby Goodfellas get to keep the original Wild Card trophy (if only there was one) in perpetuity, and everyone else from now on has to make do with a replica?

Awesome work!

Very excited to watch the final (well, stream it). Should be some great shorts. I'm backing Brains? to take out the whole competition based on how much I loved it and how the audience reacted at the finals, but there could well be something amazing from Auckland or Christchurch.

Also, do we get to see a full judges list?

Forget about the Last One (Wellington)
2015 - Crossroads - The Other Dimension Movie

Annoyed Grunt (Wellington)
2014 - A Little Bit of Pluck - Against the Odds
2013 - Parasite - Robot/Cybord/Android movie
2012 - Sunday in the Park with Mary - Musical/Dance

Twins and Bullies (Christchurch)
2011 - Tip of the Iceberg - Body-switch movie
2010 - Sidney Manson saved my life - Biopic
2009 - Men of the Millenia - Politically incorrect (regional Best Bad film winner)

Cardinal, I'm don't usually engage in forums, but I couldn't help slipping in a wee allusion to feminism (it's a song from the 70s) as "Don't ask me, I'm just a girl ... *giggles*" evokes some pretty heavy sighing from me ...

But actually, that's as much 'poking' as I'm prepared to engage in in this medium. I reckon talking (or roaring ;) in person is much better.

Loved your film, by the way!!

Ahhh, I see :)

Cheers, enjoyed yours too...after we plonked our camera in the one spot and pretty much left it there unmoved for 4 hours, doing nothing particularly tricky, watching Hannah Repus made me feel incredibly lazy :)

Category nominees (actor, cinematography, editing, use of line etc) are the regional winners of those categories.

hmm that strange because for cinematography its got blood orange up there but if its from who won the regionals it should be flim flom films, and the best actor went to steven MOSELEY instead of steven WOLLER in dunedun (Same team different last name)
