True would love to see final votes put up for heat nine just to clear it up once and for all, but highly doubt we will see that, just trying to stick up for a friends team who more than likely got shafted, and that's the end of me I'm off out into the glorious sunshine.
Putting up to controversial to release as a joke didn't help either and Peter getting wild as hell only made it look worse!

out of interest, who on earth did you think deserved to be up there more than haynesfilm?

in my opinion, the results are utterly in line with who deserves to be there.

get a grip.

Really? no offence but Haynesfilms are normally great and this years entry was just blah and only got polite stifled applause at the end any other film in heat pretty much deserved to be there, I know I am saying this in a forum of stick together 48hour veterans but come on really, their jokes fell flat, and twist at end was average at best!

Half Shell productions, Huapai Five O and Hotdog sandwich wiped the floor with the Haynesfilm entry!

I didn't think we had any jokes....

Truthserum...you didn't like our movie...I get it. You said so in the reviews and you've said so here. Repeatedly. It's sunk in. However, don't assume because of your own bias that other people didn't enjoy it. I was in the same cinema as you, remember? There was far more than 'Stifled' applause and the twist got a audible murmur around the cinema that I found quite satisfying. And honestly, we didn't have any real jokes, so I wasn't expecting any real laughs. Got a couple, which is a bonus.

We never set out to make any particular kind of film on a given year, serious or funny. We just make the film that suggests itself. This is the film that suggested itself this year, and I'm quite proud of it. We got third place...not first, not second....third in the audience favourite awards, something that, lets face it, doesn't really mean anything in the long run. Are you really going to begrudge us that?

Loving this by the way...always better to be talked about than not and all that :)

I know right any publicity is good publicity, I thought the hot water thing was meant to be a joke? guess not, anyway I did give you credit for being one of the only serious movies in the heat and that's no joke!

I'm not trying to consistently rag on your short but coina asked again so I explained and after what I heard about the heat it still seems odd the placings coming out as they did. Again if I name teams etc they may get shat on in judging so they will have to take it up with Ant.

i didnt realise we had an expectation to live up to. If you must know, there are only ever 2 core members, and Peter usually writes every single year after a brainstorming session.

this year was different, there were 4 writers, the group dynamics were different, and therefore the results were different.

I dont expect everyone to like our movie. But i do think its a great little story.

And the identity of it's mysterious man on the inside will be hotly debated.

I don't know what all this hubbub is about but I was super stoked that my team came third in heat 10, it was our first time doing V48hours and none of us have made a short film before (were all year13 students). Thanks to anyone who voted for us! Sucks that that short film about the dudes in wheelchairs was disqualified, it would have got number 1 otherwise (but then we wouldn't have come third, so not that bad).

Have to say we're pretty happy with the result of Heat 9, it's the best iBeard placing ever! Especially when you have amazing teams like IdiotVision, Hybrid Motion Pictures and Half Shell Productions who we enjoy seeing each year, plus the rest of amazing teams in our heat THANK YOU to all that voted for us.

I like Peter Haynes' hat -> I vote for Haynesfilm.Ow -> Some poor guy adds the numbers in each box of the voting form -> Haynesfilm.Ow comes in third -> truthserum deals with it.

Why the kerfuffle? I guess the 48 wouldn't be the same without the incessant whining and half arsed conspiracy theories but what is your point? Ultimately the audience favourites are meaningless in the grand scheme of the competition....why would anyone bother to go to the trouble? Utter complete embarassingly pathetic nonsense
