Really liked this film. Thought it was clever, humorous and had a nice ending which tied everything all together perfectly. I think the best word for this film is clever. Very simplistic plot but executed really well. Awesome job guys. p.s. cute cat!

I thought this was a fun and cute film, which had some pretty av acting but a friggin cute kitten and some awesome set pieces / devices for the main character Morgan to wake himself up. I liked the penultimate wake up when an iron dropped on Morgan's head (almost like an anvil from a Road Runner vs. Wiley Coyote cartoon), but then we still saw the character leave the house with a bandaged head.. it kept the film light as opposed to bleak / grim / default48hourfilmsplatter. Definitely some work to do visually but an enjoyable film nonetheless.

Great concept for the film and really well executed so the film didn't seem to drag at all. It was a nice take on the genre and timing was really well played. I wasn't entirely sure why the boss (?) was in the elevator but it was a great effort nonetheless

Hey LL! It was great to see you back in the comp after your fantastic entry last year. I thoroughly enjoyed Late, it was a simple concept with a unique twist on the 'dude that can't wake up on time' genre. Although a little repetitive, the gags were clever enough not to make it drag. Solid technicals, although I can't quite remember where the line was used (did the boss mouth it?).

Cool idea, well executed. Simple idea but done well. Loved the mousetrap style wake up devise setup with the iron!

Hilarious, beautifully shot and simple. Lack of dialogue was a breath of fresh air, and probably enhanced the understandability and humour of the piece (the use of the line was clever). Ending a bit quick and could have been clearer but overall a great piece of filmmaking

I think is a superb example of how to tailor an idea for a short film. For a simple story it was still more original than most other race against clock shorts. It was paced perfectly and had some nifty gags and gadgets where the close up shot was well put to use. The only let down was the slightly confusing ending, but I may have missed something.

Was it good luck or bad luck that you managed to get the same genre two years in a row? Good luck in so far as you might have had story options from last year, bad luck in the fact you had to follow up on what was an inspired short 'Climatic'. This year was OK, but not as good as 2013. I did start to cringe when I saw the alarm clock, it has been overdone in 48 in the past, but you guys pulled it off. Not sure I picked up on the ending - was he working nightshift, or did he change jobs to nightshift?

hey I like this, I would of watched more, I laughed when I saw him running out with a bandage on his head, I think it was a clever concept and loved some of the shots, I want to confirm did the guy lose his job

A man sets up a series of increasingly complicated alarm clocks to ensure he doesn't keep turning up late to work. This is non-dialogue short was cleverly put together to create an engaging albeit simple story. There were a few stunning looking shots and the use of close-ups was perfect for the story being told. The music did get a bit tedious but again, suited the story. Enjoyable!

There were some really good shots now and then and I thought the film could use a bit more creative sound design as it was a bit simplistic and flat with editing which could have flowed a bit better but overall by about a minute in a was into the film and along for the ride so it's good.

Great short team! I really enjoyed your film, very funny and a good take on the genre. The only thing I was gonna say was.. 'where is the line?'. So I rewatched it and I am glad I did! Very clever haha! It's a good film but that was for sure my favourite part haha!
