Musical - with love & rejection. Interesting concept. The contrast of rejection was nice and I could relate to the male actor.. sadly the technical bits let me down.. some musical bits were ok but the story dragged..

The scale confused me again - Was meant to give two stars so I will compensate with 2 + 1/2 - Sorry

A good little love story conveyed in a musical. Unfortunately sound was out of sync for the majority however it wasn't a distraction. Really liked the part where both leads were singing about the same thing from different perspectives, always works well in musicals. Just a tad drawn out in some places. Keep up the work though it had good potential with what you had.

STORY: 2/5 CINEMATOGRAPHY: 2/5 EDITING: 2/5 SOUND DESIGN/SCORE: 1/5 dreaded musical.... The story was a bit cliche, but hey, when else would a guy break into song to express their love for a girl??! The singing improves through the film but the biggest drawback has to be the sound where dialogue becomes so unsync that it looked like a dubbed hong kong film.

Oops I forgot to review this one last night. Some good melodies and realistic situation between the two leads as they start dating only struggling to overcome stagnation. As others have said this could have done with a bit more work in post but I noted some good melodies and the ending was genuinely heartfelt.

Am not a film maker - just an audience member, so am just commenting on the entertainment aspect. Always a hard genre to work with, how ever I thought not a bad effort all up. Some of the singing was very good and yes it did drag on a little and yes some of the themes had been done before - but entertainment wise it really wasn't too bad. The acting was reasonably creditable too. Thanks for your efforts guys!

An ok film, not a bad effort for a challenging genre! You did well under the circumstances, and I like the realism of it, the way audiences could probably relate to the awkwardness of it...its a shame you were limited in your screen time as I think there would be potential for your characters to have had quite quirky characteristics - but not your fault there was no time for that. The bit with the icecream was especially humourous and quite cute. Overall, not bad - maybe not exactly a Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, but probably better than many people could come up with in such a short time frame. (removed my earlier comment, which questioned whether or not the film was shot in the 48hour weekend, as I have now actually seen for myself that the billboard in question IS in fact still in place. My apologies for doubting you, but please understand where I was coming from with that query, it was not meant to be an accusation but I just wondered. Very sorry about that! Should have checked before I spoke actually!)

@DarkAndStormyNight, I really didn't want to put a review of my own short up and so I have chosen what appears to be the average grade at the time of writing so hopefully I won't change anything. I have only put up this review to clarify that we indeed did make this entire film in the 48 hours and not to defend the film from any other criticisms nor to argue with any of the other points made in reviews. (EDIT - As @DarkAndStormyNight has changed his review I will remove most of my reply as well. I totally understand where he was coming from, even though I did slightly resent the accusation that I prepared some stuff outside of the 48 hours)
