You guys drew what I feel is a hard genre. I like the way you worked with the time travel aspect. Good costumes which added to the film and the characters. I like the shot of the single face hovering centre screen, that was well done.

[Schools] An adventurer falls out of the sky on to the unlucky Nicky Brick. He explains that he has been sent there on a quest to find the steel throne and recover the Orb of Power from the devious Lord Crane! This was perhaps the best story of the school’s heat and certainly contained the most believable acting. Campbell, you’re a freak! Good establishing shots were followed by a really nice variety of other shots throughout that kept things interesting and the visuals were nicely edited. The flashback scenes were well handled and there was a real sense of fantasy in this film. As expected, there were great touches of humour – attacking the car (“Slay the beast!”) and a nice dig at the Christchurch City Council when Lord Crane is brought under control (“The council will decide your fate!” “Noooooooooo!”). Unfortunately this film was dogged by some sound issues – wind, too quiet, too loud and other syncing problems. We could also hear the car as you filmed your tracking shot. Really proud of you guys for doing this for the first time and you’d better live up your promise to do it again. A real shame the audio was messy. Otherwise I think the strength of your story could have taken you further in the schools section.

A good story but maybe a bit hard to portray in a shot film. Acting was pretty good and so were costumes. Big hint for next time... I noticed that your footage went all "Liney" with the fast movements. I solved this by putting on 50fps and 720p from 30fps and 1080p. Then it was changed again in adobe premier. Good effort though!!

good film for the given genre. could have been slightly more developed. but given the short time frame, may have been tricky.

I feel that this film did well. If it wasn't for the poor audio I feel that this film could of done well. Had some great acting and costumes as well as film locations. I liked the humour of the prince coming from an other world and then not understanding how our world works, such as attacking a car thinking its a beast, and assuming that we were ruled by a king. I feel the riddle was cleaver. Throne and thrown. Over all a good film but strongly let down by audio.

Well acted, strong story line although hard to tell in 7minutes. Guttered about the audio issues but overall a good film.
