Mis-take

Definitely the best film of the night. The storyline was tight. I loved how it had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. P.s That chic interrogating Nicky, freaked me out (and I mean that in a good way).

Man, this angry chick sure is angry about her bracelet. Almost too angry. Risks destroying the film for how seriously she's taking it. This was pretty well executed but I didn't think it a likely story. I think they had fun making this, and the team probably got exactly what they wanted. Tense at times, and makes you wonder what you'd do in that situation. A tale of "what if" with a MacGuffin and a strong one-dimensional antagonist.

The cinematography was good in this film, however the acting was something else. Amusing how everyone needed to swear to seem 'bad-ass'.

I loved it. Epic reveal of the Mob Boss :) Especially loved the moment when Nicky realised who the culprit could have been. It was punchy and had my heart pumping. Honestly one of the top 5 movies of the Heat. Can tell the crew put a lot of thought and work into this. Well done guys :)

Didn't really believe the story, the classic twist was very unsatisfying. Good attempt at creating something cinematic but still needs work on framing. Acting was very... theatrical. It suited the characters, we got a strong sense of them very early on, but over-acting gets tiring very quickly and is best suited to comedy.

I think the melodramatic acting and heightened, unbelievable story line worked against you in this one. With a more truthful telling, this could have risen to greater heights, but as it is, it was a good amateur piece.

Enjoyable, however the script seemed fairly boring "where is my bracelet?" "i dont know" "where is it?" "I dont know". I think there could have been better shot choices to make the audience feel more vulnerable and scared of her, or more overpowering and weak for him. She seemed really pissed off, but not scary? I liked that you had flashbacks of things that were being talked about. The ending was ok. Not a huge surprise, more of an obvious twist. Still, one of the better ones in this hear.

First of all, I liked your use of character. I liked your set up of the story as well. Actually, your story wasn't all that bad. A nice twist on the plot. However, what the...bleep...was up with all the swearing? There are other ways to come off as intimidating or frightened than swearing. Nothing wrong with an f bomb, but pick your times carefully. It just came off as weak dialogue writing.

The two main actors were very good, but the film overall seemed a bit too cliche. Mobster picks up wrong person on street because they look alike. Could almost fit the story to a lot of comedies and family movies. Editors, i liked that you tried the cuts between scenes like easy rider, but it didnt fit well with the film. Good work and the intro showed a tight team. Good luck with your future films :)

I really enjoyed this film, the editing was top notch, I really like the use of flashbacks and effects to create the surveillance camera effect. I also liked the lateral thinking on how to include the leaf as a prop, the four leaf clover worked really well. I thought the writing was a little bit awkward, I have to admit that when that terrifying lead started yelling about a bracelet, I was expecting people to laugh, but I think they didn't for the same reason I didn't - it was a tense and thrilling short film and it definitely had a lot of thought and effort put into it. Great lighting and camera work. Good looking cast. Loved that lead's performance, her maniacal nose twitch and everything else. Loved it.

Great work guys. Female lead was good, a very melodramatic performance. Male lead was solid, acting was more convincing towards the end. Nicely edited and looks like a lot of fun was had making it. A favorite of the night.

I didn't really like the 'twist', and the female lead was terrible. But the male lead was great, and it was mostly well edited.

I enjoyed this film, it had a good story and concept, however I felt the script let it down with the amount of swearing in the film. It took away the quality of the story and characters and by the end of the film I had stopped taking it seriously. It had a solid concept and idea with good acting which was delivered well. I did not enjoy it as much as others, but was still a sweet flick, good work!

What let it down for me was the script. Way too much swearing that just got tiresome by the end. There is nothing worse than using swear words just because it sounds menacing. Should just be used for impact. Overall great job. Easily amoung the top 4 films of the night.
