Thought you guys did some cool classic horror techniques.

I liked the ideas that were brought about. Really pulled off the horror genre and black comedy as an extra. Next time bring out more originality.

Biased because I teach these guys, but for an all-student production I thought this was damn good. The humour and suspense of the slasher film was present, some nice death scenes, particularly the hangings and good use of the notorious Newlands fog. Only complaint would be the conspicuous lack of gore after John's head was repeatedly staved in with a pole. Great work guys. For first-timers you should all be proud!!

A really good effort at the horror genre. A decent storyline followed by some cool shots of fake blood and murder, etc. Especially the hand on the fairly see-through door was a very cool shot. However the acting was a bit ridiculous at times and no one seemed to notice the killer walking off from the group, as this was clear to the audience it made the ending predictable, also the final death scene went on a bit long but the sound effects used in it were quite cool. Good effort Newlands, one of the better films of heat 4

Really good storyline, made me scared and wanted to see more :)

I loved it right up until the reporter - seemed a bit awkward (acting skills?). I thought they had really good effects and pulled off horror quite well - slightly cliche but it got one of my votes on the night. Solid effort.

I did enjoy this one. The story was good and so were the sudden eerie appearances of the killer were very well pulled off. The acting was one of the real let downs though, it wasn't of a strong enough calibre to keep up with the strength of the over-all film. Big ups to your director though!

This film is a masterpiece and surely is commended as this attempt of a V48hour film paid-off, so well done. I found problems with the Storyline, as I'm allergic to huge amounts of films having cliche material. An original storyline should be used in future film competitions as we see teams taking cheap rip-offs of other major influences. The Ghost in my opinion wasn't acted in the sense that most people thought of, so you might want to manipulate the Camera, Sound and or Story-line to make sure that the Character (Bobbie) is portrayed in the best way you want. Finally, make sure that if one guy gets sufficient amounts of damage, that you actually create a really 'funked' up face next time :D

Man you sure did pack a lot into just 7 minutes! Loved the annoying hyper girl who probably deserved to get stuck in the fence - shame on you two others who left her there! Good story line in the recreating of a previous set of murders. Nice work with the reflection in the mirror of the hung girl. The guy peering out from the urinal wall was a laugh. The Reporter almost spoiled it but you saved it by doing the freeze and zoom finish on the figure in the background. Bit cliche but still suited your story line to end that way. I gave you some of my voting points because I enjoyed it and you obviously put in a lot of work and effort to make a short that kept the viewer watching until the end. Good job guys.

I think this was my favourite film of the heat. The story was quite interesting and the effects and sounds you used to portray the killings were amazing. The annoying girl in the fence kept me laughing and the boy peering around the urinal also gave it a comedic aspect that kept me captivated. The great use of fog in one of the scenes was very cool as well. The hangings and the final death were well thought out and are very effective. The murderer was a tad obvious from the beginning, but his creppy appearances were very frightening!! Overall Newlands, you did a fantastic job!

Overall this movie had all the aspects of a classic Horror film, however what stops me from giving it a higher mark was just that. While the flashback sequences, change of lighting and camera angles were well done; the plot was pretty cliche and the ending was clear from the start. What would have made this 10/10 would have been a kickass twist or an amazing oneliner good job

I must admit, this film just didnt do it for me. I stayed true to it's genre, but in a way that we've seen 1000's of times before. The audience laughed at the scariest moments, which is not what you would want from a horror.

this was the best film in that heat. i liked the part when no one survived. that cross-eyed looking kid who got impaled should have looked more beat up. however the part where the girl got hung by the killer was the greatest thing ever and without that part the whole film would have been horrible.
