Nice idea. Nicely executed and very funny. Could have possibly done a little more with the ending but overall one of the best on the night.

Great original idea, simple but effective and funny! Loved the various methods of revenge. Also big ups to the main actor for allowing himself to be bombarded with flour, water, glitter, a baguette etc and then getting cleaned up again for the next take.

This was great really funny, great use of food products, slightly disappointing ending, but otherwise kept the laughs coming think and fast and sometimes chunky. Good stuff all involved.

Clever take on revenge, enjoyed the various revenge 'names'! Great work team.

Revenge Unlimited was a really simple joke with a great punchline that was turned into a film. Its no frills approach to the cinematography didn't detract from it at all, but rather gave this film a really home-grown, grass roots feeling. It was simple, well paced and punchy, had some fantastic gags, and didn't try to be more than it was. The blindfold and hot dog scene was a great example of what you can do with innuendo to sail over a child's head and reach the adults in the audience, which was well done and a refreshing change from some of the films in this heat. The ending was great, though I was a little confused at first. Everything came together though in the end, and though I'd suggest solidifying the story a bit more at the end to really deliver the punchline, it was overall, a well composed film.

A lot of reviews about this films originality, revenge names and ending.....hmm..looks familiar to me, I suppose it's a form of flattery, but pretty shameless rip off. http://www.v48hours.co.nz/screening-room/2009/auckland/the-revenger/

Because I am affiliated with this film, my rating is biased; therefore I have only put down half a star in order to reply. (I know this is not a comment board, my apologies) Alan David Parr has basically accused us of ripping off 'The Revenger', something we object to. I know you probably won't believe us but none of us even saw 'The Revenger' until just before our heat screening when we were looking though previous years Revenge Genre films. We got worried that someone would indeed accuse us of copying the idea. Sadly I think the idea of a Revenge Agency has probably been done a heap of times, and will likely be done lots more in the future. Indeed there are numerous articles online about revenge agencies and the natural follow on from that idea is the names of different revenge types. The 48hour film fest will often throw up quick, punchy ideas that will not be checked for originality. Our crime is certainly that we did not check, we thought the idea was smart and original, but obviously it was not. Many of the reviews we got did of course mention 'originality', a term that I would honestly object to, given that many films like this tend to resemble some others to a certain degree. I would guess that all of our 4 films that we have submitted thus far could probably be compared to many others in the competition over the years, but again, if we did appear to copy/rip off another film, I assure you it was not intentional. I would sincerely doubt that your film 'The Revenger' is also 100% original, I would bet good money that someone, somewhere will have previously made a short revenge film with similar silly names for comedic effect at some point in the past. We are an amateur group, trying to get better every year and I apologise if you feel that we copied you. We love our film; we feel it is our strongest one yet. We got caught up in the humour of it all and the audience did too, which was a great feeling! I just wanted to write this, in hope that you will accept our situation. Next time we write a 48 hour film, we will spend a little more time googling it for originality. You cannot accept any flattery this time though, because I assure you, any similarities were purely coincidental. Cheers Murray
